Hello Koh Chang, a large island that lives up to its name. Koh Chang is located in Trat province and is easily accessible by car or public transportation. Upon arrival at the pier, you have two options: Ao Thammachat Pier or Center Point Pier. Both are equally good, so choose whichever you prefer. Once you cross over, you've arrived at Koh Chang. Accommodation options are plentiful, catering to all budgets. From a few hundred baht to tens of thousands, there's something for everyone. For us, a trip to Koh Chang is all about relaxation. This time, we chose to stay at Khai Bae Beach. The days were filled with eating, sleeping, swimming, showering, and more eating. It was a blissful cycle. But what's new to share this time around? Well, this trip, we had more time for photography. We were able to unleash our creativity without having to wait for or be waited on by anyone. We just took our time and enjoyed the process. Before we begin, let me clarify that I'm just someone with some knowledge of photography. There are many more talented photographers out there. I simply want to share my methods and approaches to photography, like a conversation among friends. So, let's dive into each image and discuss them one by one. Feel free to ask questions or share your own insights. Oh, and one more thing: all the photos were taken with a Canon EOS M3 mirrorless camera and have been lightly edited using photo editing software.

Please stay tuned.

The golden hour, a photographer's dream, with its soft, warm light as the sun begins to set.

To capture a silhouette effect, position your camera towards a bright area in the scene, creating a backlit subject.

This stop-action image took a lot of effort from the model. Many photos were taken, and here are some tips: Focus on the subject first, then switch to manual focus. Autofocus may result in blurry images. The shutter speed should be high to freeze the image as much as possible. Ideally, it should be above 500.

This photo was taken in the afternoon, with the sky turning a beautiful shade of blue. The photo captures the wake of a ferry, creating a wave-like pattern in the water.

The vastness of the sea can be captured in a photograph with a blurred background, even if it is not always wide and long. It depends on the photographer's mood and how they want to portray the sea.

To capture a soft, ethereal seascape, a tripod is essential. Due to the low shutter speeds required, often ranging from seconds to minutes, a tripod is crucial to prevent camera shake. The ideal time for such photography is during twilight, when the sky is not completely dark.

However, I don't have a tripod with me, as I forgot to bring it. There are some special techniques that can be used. You need to find something to hold the camera steady, such as a rock, a large tree, or anything else that you think will prevent the camera from shaking.

However, we are still forced to arrange the composition, and we cannot choose much. The tripod is essential and the best.

The crystal-clear water and the beautiful sky were so captivating that I couldn't resist taking hundreds of pictures.

Some images appear simple, requiring no special techniques, tactics, or magical knowledge. Their beauty lies in their inherent visual appeal.

Some images have complete elements, lacking only a little... hmm...

How to make it look interesting, how to make it have questions, how to make the picture have a point... observe and look, you will see it yourself, right?

The importance of image composition is not less than the technique of light measurement. If both of them come together, these two directions are excellent...

The silhouette image features trees in the foreground and the sea in the background. While the sky, fluffy clouds, and light initially caught my attention, I wondered how to make it more captivating.

The light is so bright... the sky is crystal clear. The sun is setting on the horizon. The atmosphere is amazing. Sitting here watching the sky and the water is so relaxing.

Capture this light without hesitation. Don't stop, keep searching for angles and perspectives.

This set of images was taken with the narrowest possible aperture to maximize depth of field. This resulted in a relatively slow shutter speed. A tripod would have been ideal, but as mentioned, it was forgotten. At this shutter speed, handheld shooting with a mobile phone is still manageable.

The composition of the light-measuring image, if it comes together, is always beautiful.

At the moment the shutter was pressed, the light was very low, but I didn't want to increase the ISO to avoid losing image quality (although in reality, a slight increase or decrease has little effect, as the image will be further processed). The speed was relatively low, but it was still acceptable. I also used a wide-angle lens.
