A Serendipitous Stay in Tha Sala: Discovering a Hidden Gem

In late May, our travels led us to Tha Sala district in Nakhon Si Thammarat province, nestled in the northern region approximately 32.5 kilometers from the city center. A mere 35-minute drive by car, Tha Sala presented itself as the perfect base for our photographic explorations.

Seeking accommodation near our intended shooting locations, we turned to local sources for recommendations. This is how we stumbled upon a hidden gem – a hotel shrouded in relative obscurity online. Intrigued, we delved deeper, uncovering a dearth of information. This lack of readily available details fueled our desire to share our experience, hoping to provide valuable insights for fellow travelers seeking lodging in Tha Sala.

The Madison Hotel & Caffe is a boutique-style cafe and hotel decorated in a dark tone with accents of green from ferns interspersed throughout.

The room rate is 790 baht per night, with a 200 baht key deposit that will be refunded after check-out.

The hotel will ask what time you would like breakfast, and you can choose to have it in your room or at the cafe.

The breakfast is local cuisine. On the day we stayed, the hotel provided us with rice porridge, deep-fried dough sticks, orange juice, and sticky rice with custard.

The hotel offers parking for guests across the street at the food stall. (If you plan to wake up early to take photos like we did, please inform the hotel in advance or let the food stall across the street know, as they will lock the parking lot gate. Rest assured, it is safe.)

Hotel entrance atmosphere

The cafe zone is beautifully decorated, making it a comfortable place to relax. We could easily spend the whole day here.

A sign indicating different sections of the hotel. The lower floor is for guest rooms, while the upper floor is for conference rooms. Unfortunately, we were unable to go upstairs to take pictures. . .

We have room A03 on the ground floor.

Another thing that we really liked was the director's chair. It was so comfortable that we didn't want to get up.

The bathroom is equipped with liquid soap, shampoo, and conditioner, as is standard in most hotels. However, it is worth noting that the soap here has a particularly pleasant fragrance.

The hotel's interior boasts numerous photogenic corners, perfect for capturing memories. Alternatively, if you seek a tranquil reading nook, the ambiance provides a serene escape.

Our dream is to not only be travelers, but also to own a small hostel and café decorated in this style.

This review may be a bit short and incomplete, but we hope it will be another option for those who are traveling to Thasala and do not want to drive back to the city to stay. . .
