Where are you going to count down this year?

I think I'll go to Times Square.

As the words left his lips, all eyes at the table turned to him.

Really?

It's been a long time!

It's so crowded!!!!!

It's so cold! 🥶

Okay, I'd like to try it out since I'm already here.

Have you prepared diapers yet?

Do we need this, brother?

Will I be able to go to the bathroom again if I leave the room?

Ah, really... 555

The conversation took place just over a month after we set foot in New York City. It felt like a small dream that one day we would be here for the countdown. The city that never sleeps. Well, how is it? How are we doing?

...Looking back to Christmas 2014, we had one member joining us for the countdown, a girl named Nik. Nik, a Bangkok native who had been living in New York for over two years, had previously participated in the countdown in 2013. However, she felt that it needed improvement and requested another chance. Once we agreed to brave the cold together, we began planning what we should prepare for the upcoming week. ...

We then prepared to buy sandbags, snacks, and drinks for 14-15 hours in the crowd, where we couldn't go anywhere. We charged our entertainment devices and debated whether or not to buy diapers. We concluded that we could probably hold it, forgetting that we would need to drink water.

We arrived at 11 am to queue for the concert, aiming for a spot closest to the stage. This year, Taylor Swift is performing, and I wouldn't miss it for the world! I'm especially excited to see her iconic eyelashes. 555

However, Taylor Swift appeared at another event. 😓 555 I screamed, but instead I got to see American Author up close.

Countdown

That's too far, even for a microphone. It's like breathing down someone's neck. 5555

The weather is so cold that people are bundled up in layers of clothing.

We were standing shoulder to shoulder, but it was still freezing. I turned to see a young foreign woman crying.

Unable to sit, the uncle in front kept squeezing. What a life!

Let's go see the evidence. 😆

However, if you ask me if it was a good experience, 14 hours and 1 minute, I can tell you that it was a lot. It was one minute that will stay with me until I am old, something to tell my children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

It was an incredibly heartwarming moment, filled with immense joy. I was so proud of myself for enduring the 14 hours of standing without moving.

Will you be back next year???

"Enough is enough."

They all burst into laughter.

When I have time, I will write a blog post about my experience traveling by train around America on a tight budget, proving that solo travel is possible.

Please discuss this on the page.

Let's see where we'll be celebrating New Year's Eve this year. I'll post some pictures later. Wink wink.

Thank you for reading to the end.

Happy New Year.

Thank you everyone.

This was a one-time experience, and that's enough for me. 555

This year, I went to Paris. I was disappointed. I thought it would be more impressive.
