After packing our belongings, we prepared to explore the island. The actual cost of visiting Koh Samet, excluding accommodation, is around 2,000 baht.

The long weekend on the calendar sparked our desire for a relaxing getaway.

We contemplated various destinations, seeking a nearby and tranquil escape. Ultimately, we settled on Koh Samet, as a friend resides in Rayong.

Our plan was to visit our friend and then embark on a trip to Koh Samet.

Day 1

We departed from Bangkok at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 8, 2017.

We arrived in Rayong around 2:00 PM.

We had lunch at Krua Malakor, located near Ban Phe.

We ordered the stir-fried Indotuna Pad Thai, which was exceptional. If you're visiting Rayong, I highly recommend it.

The restaurant may not be widely known, but I assure you, you won't be disappointed.

(For directions, search on Google or Wongnai.)

After finishing our meal, we went for coffee, which was not far from the papaya shop. About 300 meters away, we arrived at Bite&bike. The shop is decorated with cool containers and is also a stopover point for cyclists. The price of coffee and snacks is not expensive and is delicious.

We then paid our respects to Luang Pu Tim at Wat Laharn Rai.

Day 2

We stopped for breakfast at Talay Mee Khluen restaurant.

This is a blank paragraph.

After finishing our meal, we left the restaurant and headed straight to Ban Phe Pier to catch a boat to Koh Samet.

Round-trip ferry tickets can be purchased directly at the counter for 100 baht per person.

The ferry is a slow boat and takes approximately 45 minutes. If you prefer a speedboat, the price is 250 baht per person.

After a short boat ride, our destination came into view: Koh Samet!

We have arrived. Upon disembarking at the pier, there will be a fee of 20 baht per person.

Next, we headed to our accommodation.

We stayed at Pandora Resort, which is located in Ao Noi Na.

We opted for a shared taxi, which cost 200 baht.

However, if you are traveling with only one other person, you can find a taxi that will take you directly to your destination.

We booked through Traveloka for a two-bedroom, one-bathroom room. The regular price was 4,000 baht, but there was a 400 baht discount on Traveloka at the time of booking, so we got it for 3,600 baht.

Here are some pictures of the room:

This room also has a private rooftop. For those who want to have a chill party, you can buy your own stuff.

After packing our belongings, we prepared to explore the island.

We rented a motorbike from the hotel for 350 baht. (Renting from the beach might be cheaper.)

Today's personal vehicle 5555

We started from Haad Sai Kaew

We stopped by a coffee shop at Sawasdee Coco

And then go to various bays.

Important bays worth visiting include Ao Lung Dam > Ao Kiw > Ao Wai > Ao Phrao.

The sunset viewing points are at Ao Phrao and Ao Lung Dam (viewpoint).

Before going to the various bays, we have to pay a fee at Haad Sai Kaew, 40 baht per person.

Please keep your ticket with you at all times in case an officer requests to see it.

Stop by for roti at Ao Lung Dam.

Continue to Coral Bay, the water is very clear.

Then go to Ao Phrao

While riding my motorbike back, I stumbled upon a hidden alleyway. I can't recall exactly where it was.

Fortunately, the view that greeted me was breathtaking!

Beautiful and very peaceful.

After that, we went back to eat lunch at Sai Kaew Beach.

The price was quite high, haha. We went to eat at Krua Lung Jo restaurant, which is near Ploy restaurant.

At first, we were going to eat at Ploy restaurant, but it was very crowded.

After finishing our meal, we returned to our accommodation.

Day 3

We woke up early today and went swimming in the pool.

The pool is a saltwater system, so it doesn't sting your eyes.

We were ready to check out and return to the mainland.

Before leaving, we had to take a picture with the signature.

Once we reached the other side, we stopped by a coffee shop.

The Mail box Cafe is located right at the Nualthip Pier.

The cost of visiting Koh Samet, excluding accommodation, is around 2,000 baht. However, this can vary depending on individual spending habits and preferences. If you're looking for a budget-friendly getaway, Koh Samet is a great option. With its stunning beaches, delicious food, and friendly locals, it's no wonder why so many people choose to visit this island paradise.
