Welcome back, readers of Read Me. This time, I'll take you on a local Thai adventure. Earlier this month, I had to travel to Bangkok for work and stayed near Min Buri. After finishing my work, I sat down on a Sunday before returning home and thought about where to go. At first, I planned to take a bus into the city center of Bangkok, but then I saw a floating market nearby that sounded familiar.
After researching for a while, it happened to be Sunday, and the floating market was open. The market was also located in a temple, so I could also make merit. So I decided to go there.
For my outbound journey, I took a motorcycle taxi for 40 baht (a bit expensive compared to the bus). What can I do? I don't often go to Bangkok, and whenever I do, I always take the train.

After passing through Wat Bang Pheng Tai, you will reach the destination.
There are two bridges to cross the river.
On the other side, there is a beautiful bridge where many people go to take selfies. It is the one you see in the middle of the picture.
I'm not sure how to explain the tour. Let's just look at the pictures, okay?
Starting from the south side of Wat Bang Pheng, as we walk along the canal, we will see the other side -..- Of course, it looks like a 2-story wooden house with stalls selling things. There are a lot of people.
The image depicts Wat Bang Pheng Tai.
I visited Wat Bang Pheng Tai to pay respects to the Buddha and make merit. I only made a small offering at Wat Bang Pheng Nuea because I couldn't find the donation area. It seemed difficult to locate. In contrast, Wat Bang Pheng Tai's donation area was clearly visible.
Along the way, we will encounter numerous animal feeding stations, teeming with a diverse array of creatures, resembling a miniature zoo.
Food for the animals can be purchased nearby.
(Handsome alpaca)
The side with the beautiful bridge is very crowded.
The area is now transitioning into a food zone in the form of a floating market.
There are many ducks, geese, and swans.
Here, you can see a long line of restaurants on boats and floating platforms. Let me take you there for a closer look.
A boat tour will be available to enjoy the scenery on both sides of the canal. Student guides will provide explanations throughout the journey.
After crossing the beautiful bridge, turn left and you will find… Boat Alley (or Duck Alley, haha).
Turning left at the end of the pier will lead you to the flamingos. They sleep in peculiar positions.
Walk back along the pier alley. There will be food stalls all the way. Anyone who is hungry can stop by. Along the way, there will be cool steam coming out all the time. I guarantee it won't be hot. But I feel sorry for the camera.
Quack, quack, quack. The duck bathes in the canal. The cat stares and watches because there are shellfish, crabs, and fish in the canal.
Ducks are abundant, as I mentioned.
You can sit and relax on the raft. They will arrange a seating area for you. I really like it.
Oh, goose!
At the end of the path, there is a pay-to-use restroom. I turned back to find something sweet, cold, and delicious to eat.
I saw Khao Chae and wanted to try it, but I've never had it before. I walked around for 2-3 rounds and then messaged my brother at home to ask him how to eat it. 555+ I could have just searched it on Google.
I drank it all in one go. It was fragrant and refreshing, but the boat ride made me dizzy. My way of eating is to eat as I go, left and right. This menu costs 70 baht.
After exiting the alleyway, you will encounter a covered market. The upper floor primarily sells souvenirs, while the lower floor offers a variety of food, daily necessities, and gifts.
This is the beautiful bridge I mentioned earlier.
This photo was taken from the north side of Wat Bampen Nuea.

Tired legs, stop by to watch the fish feed.
Walk around to the south side of Wat Bang Pheng temple. Walk along the edge of the canal and you will find a shrine and a statue of Khwan Riam at the foot of the bridge. Some couples come here to take selfies. Next to the statue is a shrine. You can read about the legend online. :)
Let's take a look at the indoor market at Wat Bang Pheng Tai. Here's a long shot of the atmosphere.
A large turtle is located within this market.
The sentence is already in English and does not require translation.
There are cool mist fans blowing all the time, which is great. At first, before I came, I was worried that it would be hot. In reality, it was only a little hot when I went out in the sun. Other than that, it was cool everywhere. It's a great place to visit and walk around.
After resting again, I will travel back to my accommodation at Keha Ramkhamhaeng. How do I get back? I checked Google Maps. At first, I was going to find a motorcycle taxi, but there were none, so I decided to walk to the main road and take a bus. I will take whichever bus arrives first.
The legendary bus number 8 has arrived! 555+ But it's an air-conditioned bus, so it's cool and comfortable. The fare was around 13 baht, which is much cheaper than a motorcycle taxi. 5555+ If I had known, I would have taken the bus on the way there.
The journey has come to an end. It was a bit long, but I didn't find much substance. -..-''' I would like to invite everyone to visit and experience the preservation of Thai culture. It's truly enjoyable. You get to eat rare foods and also visit temples to make merit.
Let's take a break on Saturday and Sunday and go on a trip.
