Three cousins, we planned a trip to Japan two weeks in advance.

Six days, three cities: Tsukuba, Nikko, and Mito.

November 24, 2016, Thanksgiving Day, happened to be the day we were in Nikko.

This day became one of the most magical days of our lives, a day we will never forget.

"The first snow of my life, falling unexpectedly in November, a 54-year event in Japan."

It was a happy coincidence.

We were not prepared at all. We just wore as many clothes as we could to keep warm. Who would have thought that we would accidentally encounter snow?

And here are the pictures we took to keep as a good memory that we would like to share.

The Shinkyo Bridge is completely different from the previous day.

The cityscape fades away, replaced by mountains.

A group of students and teachers on a field trip are playing in the snow while waiting for the bus driver to put chains on the tires to prevent slipping.
