This is our first post, and we are excited to share it with you. We want to give a big shout-out to our friend who introduced us to this platform. Today, we are thrilled to present our first review (we put a lot of effort into it).
This one-night trip will take you to a cozy stay at Baan Nai Maok, Khao Khainui, Phang Nga.
Before I begin, I must confess that I was completely unprepared for this trip. It all happened so suddenly that I only had time to pack a few essentials: a cloth bag, a change of clothes, and some toiletries. Please bear with me as I recount my experience, as it may not be the most organized or detailed account. However, I hope that by sharing my story, I can provide you with some valuable information that might be useful if you ever have the opportunity to visit this place yourself.
We have a friend who is a local of Ban Nai Mor. She recommended this place to us, or maybe she just insisted that we come. Haha! She visits this place regularly and has become a local herself. That's why we finally made it here. We have to thank her a lot. We've known about Khao Nui for a while now, but we never had the chance to visit. Finally, we're here! Woohoo!
The house in the mist, Khai Nui, is located in Ban Fai Tha, Tung Maphrao Subdistrict,ท้ายเหมือง District, Phang Nga Province. We have to tell you in advance that there are almost 10 homestays on Khai Nui Mountain, each with a different name.
Let's go hiking together!
We arrived at the house of the owner in the fog below, opposite the Ban Fai Tha School, Tung Maphrao Subdistrict, Thai Mueang District, Phang Nga Province. We parked our car there and then climbed the hill with Bang Rek, Pa Nui's son (Pa = father in Islam).
Our journey began at Bang Rak village around 9 pm. Bang Rak drove us up the mountain in a 4x4 jeep, as seen in the picture. The ascent took only 30 minutes despite covering a distance of 6-7 kilometers, which is remarkably fast.

A word of advice: The man in the picture is Bang Reg, our new elder brother.
We had heard stories of people driving themselves up the mountain and having to turn back due to their lack of experience. When we went up with Bang Reg, we realized that the road truly requires expertise. We apologized to Bang Reg for making him drive so late, but he replied, "No worries, young brother! It's not late at all. I've driven people up here as late as 1 or 2 am." Hearing Bang speak like this, we felt reassured, knowing our safety was in the hands of an experienced driver.
Our recommendation:
If you're thinking of driving yourself up the mountain, think again. You can park your car at the bottom. It might seem like a good idea, but once you're actually on the road, it's not as easy as you think. Especially for small cars and sedans, it's best to park them at the bottom.
In just over 30 minutes, we arrived at our home in the mist, our resting place for the night. It looks so chill, doesn't it?
Oh, I forgot to mention! The houses in the mist have electric lights and fans. But if you want to sleep comfortably with air conditioning, bring your own air conditioner, because when you sleep up there, it's really "whoo hoo hoo, it's so cold your balls will shrink to one side."
Knock knock! Someone's here to wake you up. Wake up, wake up! It's morning! Just kidding, not that bad. But when you wake up, there are good things like this in front of you.
Damn! Even drinking Starbucks doesn't compare to having regular coffee with this kettle. "The view is truly worth a million bucks."
Here you go! A southern-style breakfast snack to keep your hunger at bay.
Toasted bread is also available. Let's go!!! Squeeze condensed milk on toasted bread, sip coffee and enjoy the beautiful view. It's delicious anyway.
The ambiance is simply delightful! I adore this perspective and the gentle, soft light. It's simply exhilarating! I can't imagine anyone seeing this image and not wanting to sit in this very spot. ^^
Here it is!!! I can't miss it. I took myself to that corner. 555 I really recommend it to anyone who comes here and wakes up early. Come and sip coffee in this corner. The atmosphere in front of us is very good.
This is the original source of Khai Nui's egg! The man in the picture is Pa Nui. Many years ago, he built a homestay halfway up the mountain and then led tourists up. The first homestay in this area was called "Pa Nui Mountain Homestay." However, after many years, Pa Nui became tired and moved to build a new one on his own land further up the mountain. Pa Nui is very skilled. Despite his age, he can still climb trees very well. He has been riding a motorcycle up Khai Nui Mountain for over 40 years. Don't underestimate him!
Let me introduce you to this magnificent view of a house in the mist on Khai Nui Mountain, which gives you the feeling of being on a mountain in the north of Thailand.
I want everyone who visits this place to take a picture with this long wooden chair. If you don't have a picture with this chair, you've missed out on a lot.
This is the appearance of the homestay house in the mist of Khai Nui.
Luxury hotels are not available in this type of environment. We understand that some people desire comfort, but there are trade-offs. If you want breathtaking views like this, you must visit this location. If you want a comfortable stay, find a 5-star hotel on the ground level, no more than 5 meters above sea level. This is because the altitude here is over 450 meters.

Let's embark on a journey to the breathtaking vistas of Khai Nui Mountain. Follow us!

In summary,
We are delighted with the stunning natural beauty of Baan Nai Maok on Khai Nui Mountain. After frequent trips to the beach, this excursion provided a refreshing change of scenery, offering breathtaking views from above. We are grateful for the opportunity to explore this new environment and appreciate the tranquility it brings.
Although we didn't see any fog during our first visit to Khao Khainui (there was no fog), we still had a great time. We understand that nature is unpredictable, just like the sea, which we visit frequently. We maintain a positive attitude and believe that even without fog, we can still enjoy the beauty of the mountain.
"No fog on the mountain, come and visit."
It's like going to the sea and there are waves.
Nature provides its own balance in each of its seasons.
To understand nature as deeply as possible is sufficient.
"We promise that next time, we will definitely bring you beautiful and stunning pictures of the fog."
Sit in silence, watch him, and close your eyes to listen to the sound of the wind. Then you will hear the sound of your own heart beating louder than ever before.
If you are interested in visiting, please feel free to call and ask any questions you may have.
