The first thing we highly recommend is to gather a large group for your trip. This is because taking photos with a large group is more enjoyable, and when ordering food, you can order a wider variety of dishes. You can try different things, share with each other, and everyone gets to taste everything. This way, you can split the cost and enjoy a more affordable and convivial experience.

The large group of us embarked on a road trip, renting a car and setting off on an adventure. We posed for photos, grinning widely, as if we were a herd of elephants. On the count of three, we jumped in the air, capturing the moment with laughter and joy.

Visiting Chiang Mai without bringing back souvenirs is like going home empty-handed. It's common knowledge that Chiang Mai's Tha Pae Walking Street and Wualai Road are world-renowned. While strolling along these streets can be tiring, covering kilometers, it's also incredibly enjoyable. The goods are sold at affordable prices, making them accessible to everyone.

In addition to the abundance of artistic creations, there is a plethora of souvenirs, dried goods, sai oua sausage, chili pastes, crispy pork rinds, and northern-style clothing and accessories, including beautifully patterned Hmong garments. All of these can be found at Kad Luang and Trok Lau Chow, the main markets in the heart of Chiang Mai. They are open daily from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Parking can be scarce, so it is recommended to park at a nearby temple for a fee of 20-30 baht for peace of mind.

Chiang Mai, a city of culinary diversity, is a frequent destination for us due to its abundance of delectable cuisine. From flavorful, spice-infused Khao Soi to fragrant charcoal-grilled meats, fresh salads from the Royal Project, and a plethora of desserts, beverages, and street food, the options are endless. The prices are reasonable, and the food in the picture was devoured within 25 minutes after a 200-meter uphill walk. The delicious flavors, fresh vegetables, and visually appealing presentation left us with rumbling stomachs.

The price is average, but the view while eating is worth millions. If you have the opportunity to visit @Mon Cham, don't forget to order food, cake, and drinks while enjoying the view. (P.S. The "Sao" cake is even more delicious than the one in the hotel.)

The diverse ethnic groups of Chiang Mai offer tourists a unique opportunity to experience the local way of life and forge new friendships. Despite the language barrier, the warm hospitality of the local people shines through, making every encounter a memorable one. The welcoming nature of the hosts ensures that visitors feel comfortable, entertained, and leave with a lasting impression of their visit.

This adorable group of toddlers, likely between 2 and 3 years old, are having a blast playing in the sandbox. They are full of energy, tumbling and sliding with reckless abandon. Their laughter and joy are infectious, reminding us that simple pleasures can bring immense happiness. In Chiang Mai, it seems, opportunities for such unbridled fun are plentiful.

Chiang Mai is a province with a plethora of accommodation options, including hotels, hostels, and resorts.
On our frequent trips to Chiang Mai, we always seek out new accommodations to experience diverse atmospheres. This allows us to gather ideas for interior design and unique services offered by each establishment. We've stayed in accommodations ranging from 300 baht per person to 20,000 baht per room, depending on our budget and the area we're exploring.
To ensure a convenient travel experience, we typically choose accommodations near major districts such as Tha Pae, Wua Lai, or Nimmanhaemin. These areas are bustling with people, offering a wide variety of restaurants and easy access to transportation. For our recent trip, we opted for Oxotel, a hostel that impressed us with its exceptional design, service, amenities, and communal spaces. Every member of our group wholeheartedly awarded Oxotel a perfect score of 10/10.

If you have the opportunity to visit Chiang Mai, we highly recommend staying at this hostel. It is affordable, conveniently located on Wualai Road, and offers easy access to transportation. To book your stay, visit their Facebook page: www.facebook.com/oxotelhostel.

Another activity we highly recommend is visiting ancient temples, which hold a wealth of historical stories. Have you ever wondered why Chiang Mai has so many temples? It's because in the past, both Thai and Burmese Buddhists had a strong connection to Buddhism. For example, before going to war, they would build temples or churches. And if they were victorious, they would build temples to signify their territory or power.

Historically, temples were built to propagate Buddhism. When families had children, they would send them to grow up, learn, and play at the temples they built, giving rise to the ancient saying, "Build a temple for your children to play in." This has resulted in the province having a large number of beautiful temples with rich historical stories.

**Chiang Mai, the City of Art** is a fitting title, as the city boasts numerous small galleries established by artist collectives, large art spaces, and museums. Chiang Mai offers a diverse range of artistic expressions, providing endless opportunities for aesthetic appreciation. One of the reasons we frequently visit Chiang Mai is the abundance of artistic inspiration it offers. The city's historical and contemporary artworks, decorative objects, and books provide a constant source of inspiration, fueling our creative ideas and enabling us to develop new works.

Chiang Mai: A Year-Round Destination

Chiang Mai, a province in northern Thailand, offers a diverse range of experiences throughout the year. During the hot season, the vibrant Songkran festival attracts tourists from around the world, who come to enjoy the lively atmosphere and water fights along the city's moat.

As the rainy season arrives, nature enthusiasts flock to the surrounding areas, seeking the breathtaking scenery of rice terraces and lush green forests. Popular destinations include Mae Kampong, Mae Rim, Mae Sa, Mae Chaem, and Samoeng, where visitors can immerse themselves in the refreshing air and stunning landscapes.

During the winter season, when there are long holidays, many people plan trips to Chiang Mai to witness the stunning sea of mist on the mountaintops and spend the night gazing at shooting stars. The simple atmosphere has become a defining charm of Chiang Mai.

We highly recommend making the Queen Sirikit Botanic Garden in Mae Rim your next trip destination. This stunning garden offers endless exploration opportunities, from rose gardens and orchid farms to fern farms and cacti collections. Capture unique photos at the 3D photo spots and immerse yourself in nature with a walk on the Canopy Walk. Admission fees are incredibly affordable, ranging from only 20 to 40 baht.

Bangkok - Chiang Mai

Traveling from Bangkok offers three primary options: air travel, bus transportation, and train service.

Today, we opted for a road trip. We rented a car through Thai Rent A Car. For booking, please visit: https://thairentacar.com/index.php/en/

Use the promotion code "weekdayspecial" for this trip, as our group consists of 9 people.

If flying is considered wasteful or train travel is uncomfortable, then renting a car is a highly recommended option.

Thank you to all my fellow travelers who joined me on this trip. It was a blast, and I'm sure the next one will be even better. Thank you for following along. From now on, we will have reviews of the inside of the various places we visited. I wonder what Temmax : กิน เที่ยว แบบเต็มแม็กซ์ and TrailTrav will have to say about their experiences and what they recommend for everyone to see and do. For those of you who are interested in visiting Chiang Mai like us, here are some recommendations.

Traveling to Chiang Mai: A Breeze

Getting to Chiang Mai is a piece of cake. Here are the most common methods:

1. Fly:

  • The quickest and most convenient option is flying. A comfortable one-hour flight from Don Mueang Airport whisks you away to Chiang Mai. It's like taking a nap and waking up in paradise!
  • Numerous airlines offer frequent flights, with over ten departures daily.
  • For a relaxed trip with an overnight stay, consider Nok Air's 9:05 AM - 10:05 AM flight. This avoids the early morning rush and gives you ample time to reach the airport.
  • To save time, check in online before heading to the airport.

Nok Air

We appreciate Nok Air for…

– The new aircraft is odorless and spacious, with wide seats. As a larger individual, I appreciate the extra legroom for a comfortable flight. Nok Air's aircraft are conducive to a restful sleep.
– The service is excellent and incredibly convenient, starting with the booking process. We can easily check the cheapest days to fly, eliminating the need for extensive date selection. Check-in is also a breeze.
– Nok Air offers numerous flights between Don Mueang and Chiang Mai (up to 7 flights per day).
Additionally, they provide flights between Chiang Mai and Udon Thani (currently 2 flights per day).
As a bonus, they offer complimentary snacks to enhance the flight experience.

Upon arrival at Chiang Mai Airport, turn left after exiting the terminal to find a variety of car rental companies. Among them, Thai Rent A Car is a frequent choice due to its availability of 7-seater or 2.0-liter vehicles, ideal for out-of-town trips or family outings. Booking online is recommended to take advantage of exclusive promotions.

Thai Rent-a-Car

If you book through the call center, you won't get as much of a discount as you would on the website. This time, we used the code "วันธรรมดาน่าเที่ยว" (weekday travel is attractive). This promotion is still valid for a long time, until September 30, 2017. We highly recommend it, it's really cheap. We like the fact that you can return the car 4 hours late. It's even more worthwhile. Book here >> https://thairentacar.com
