And then the holidays came around again. This time, I was wondering where to go. I thought and thought, lying in bed and opening travel pages, reading reviews until I came across a place not too far from my accommodation. It was easily accessible and the place was beautiful, just as I had imagined.

The Seven Bends-Pong Koan Sao Eco-Tourism and Nature Study Center is located in Moo 5, Tha Maprang Subdistrict, Kaeng Khoi District, Saraburi Province.

The agency is responsible for developing the Sap Pa Daeng-Pong Ngam Khon Sao Forest Park into an ecotourism destination.

Upon arrival at your destination, visit the tourist information center to report your arrival. Staff can provide further guidance on your itinerary and directions.

At the tourist service point, there is also a welfare shop where you can buy souvenirs, food, and necessities at your leisure. There is a bicycle rental service, hourly or daily, depending on your convenience. There is also a tent rental service and accommodation services if you don't want to sleep in a tent (you can call to inquire about prices).

The information is so dense that you might fall asleep reading it. Haha. Now that you have some basic information, let's go on a relaxing trip. I should mention that I chose to walk around this time because I was confident that I was very strong. However, it didn't turn out the way I expected. The conditions were so bad that we could barely crawl.

The view here is truly breathtaking, offering a stunning 360-degree panorama. Every angle captures the essence of beauty, making it impossible to take a bad picture. Even without a camera, the scenery is simply mesmerizing.

Camping area around the reservoir

The view and atmosphere around the reservoir are incredibly beautiful. I highly recommend it!

Wandering around taking photos all day, I still couldn't capture everything. It's truly beautiful. After taking photos, it was time to head to the waterfall. The waterfall we chose was "Namtok Chet Khot Nuea," a 1.5-kilometer round trip that takes about an hour. There are many waterfalls to choose from here, including Namtok Chet Khot Klang, Namtok Chet Khot Tai, and Namtok Chet Khot Yai. If you plan to explore beyond Namtok Chet Khot, it's recommended to have a guide with you.

Let's get started.

Let's go!

The trail is filled with various obstacles, including overhanging branches, tangled vines, and thorny bushes. Please be cautious and watch your step to avoid injuries.

As we observe during our journey, we will find that there are many types of mushrooms growing along the way, showcasing their vibrant colors in full bloom. However, the unseen highlight of this forest, the true star of the show, is the "champagne mushroom." These mushrooms are incredibly industrious, but why? Because they have a lot of "hair." (Silence in the forest)

"Champignon mushrooms" 🍄🍄

Indeed, they are truly hardworking. The reason? They have a lot of hair. Haha. 🍄🍄

Follow the signs along the way, which will indicate the remaining distance to your destination in meters. Don't worry about getting lost; you'll definitely reach your goal.

And finally, we reached our destination, the "Namtok Chet Khot Nuea" waterfall. You can walk there yourself without a guide. I'm telling you, it's a breeze to walk alone, but it's a bit spooky. 555

"Upper Khlong Khot Waterfall"

The waterfall was incredibly refreshing, but unfortunately, I couldn't take a dip because I didn't bring a change of clothes. If I had jumped in, I would have been left in just my boxer shorts, which might have made the people around me nauseous.

Besides the waterfall, there are also beautiful butterflies fluttering around, welcoming our arrival.

After an enjoyable trip and taking many photos, it was time for us to head back. Let me tell you, the way back was incredibly tiring because we had to climb up and down hills, almost exhausting ourselves.

On our way, we encountered a line of ants marching in a procession. We considered following them for a while, but alas, the entrance to their tunnel was too narrow. We couldn't help but chuckle at the sight.

After returning from the waterfall, we continued our walk around the reservoir. You might ask if we were still up for it, and the answer is barely. But our minds were set, so our bodies had to follow. We pushed on with determination!

Consider renting a bicycle to cycle around the reservoir or take a leisurely stroll while snapping photos. However, if you're not up for the challenge, rent a bicycle to avoid any regrets later.

After completing a circuit around the reservoir, we decided to take a break at the pavilion by the water's edge. We sat there, letting our minds wander, or stood to capture the picturesque scenery with our cameras.

It's time to head back before the downpour begins. This trip was cut short by the rain, and we're reluctant to leave. However, we must return now.

In conclusion, if you are looking for a natural getaway near Bangkok with convenient transportation, I highly recommend "Jedkod-Pongkonsao". If you come, you will be impressed. If you come, you will forget the capital city. If you come, you will forget the suffering you have. If you come, you will be extremely happy, fulfilled, and love nature even more. I guarantee it!!!!! But if you don't come, you will regret it. I'm telling you, don't say I didn't warn you.

After reading, don't forget to share and like (love, haha, not that). Also, follow "Engineering Trip" for the next trip.

*Travel recommendations

1. Travel by train to Kaeng Khoi Junction Station, then take a taxi to Sap Tak.

Travel by bus on the Saraburi-Mawk Lek-Korat route. Get off at Thap Kwang and then hire a car to continue for about 20 kilometers (motorbike or pickup truck, the price is likely to be high).

3. Alternatively, hitchhiking is another option. You can hitchhike with tourists, as many tourists travel to Saphan Hin Phetchaburi.

4. Public transportation is not available.
