Have you taken a picture yet? The Mae Kuang Dam Suspension Bridge, a new landmark in Chiang Mai Province.

Recently, I noticed many of my friends on Instagram checking in at a suspension bridge. I was surprised, as I had only ever seen iron bridges in Chiang Mai. So, I messaged my friend Ploy, who is from Chiang Mai, to ask where this suspension bridge was located.

It's near your house, you often cycle there. Would you like to go, Uey?

Sure, here is the translation:

Let's do it.

And so, the short trip to the Mae Kuang Dam began.

The Mae Kuang Dam, officially known as the Mae Kuang Udomthara Dam, is located in Doi Saket District, Chiang Mai Province, approximately 30 kilometers from Chiang Mai city. To reach the dam, follow the same route as if traveling to Chiang Rai. Upon reaching Doi Saket District, a left turn will lead to the entrance of the Mae Kuang Dam.

While the paved road leading to the dam is perfect for cycling, the road from the dam to the suspension bridge is quite rough. I visited on August 6th, and the suspension bridge was completed, but the access road was still under construction. Low-profile vehicles should avoid this route.

The Mae Kuang Dam offers stunning scenery, making it an ideal location for photography.

We have arrived at the suspension bridge.

Let's fix our hair a bit and take some photos.

The suspension bridge is complete, but the road is still under construction.

It would be a beautiful sight if it were during the rainy season.

No matter the angle, the photo is beautiful.

Is it because of the view?

It's because of the model.

It is recommended to take photos quickly, as the place will likely become crowded soon.

Take a photo and check in.

This is the atmosphere inside the Mae Kuang Udomthara Dam.

In addition to the charming suspension bridge, there are also riverside restaurants. This time, I didn't get a chance to try them, but I think the fish dishes will be fresh and delicious. I'll definitely try them next time.

If you're tired of the same old Chiang Mai atmosphere, take a short drive and change your mood by cycling and taking photos at the Mae Kuang Udomthara Dam suspension bridge. It's a lot of fun.

Come quickly before it gets crowded. Just a friendly reminder! ^^
