Previously on (Dates 1 - 2):
We flew from Thailand to Macau and stayed for two nights. Read Part 1. I forgot to mention that when visiting Macau, you must try the egg tarts at The Venetian. Even after being refrigerated and brought back to Thailand, they were still delicious.
On the third day, we took a TurboJet ferry from Macau to Kowloon, Hong Kong.
We walked up to the counter to buy tickets as walk-ins, which got us on the 2:05 PM ferry. We arrived at noon, but we got this time slot, so we went to find something to eat. However, by the time we found something to eat, it was almost time for the ferry to leave, so we had to eat quickly.
The restaurant is located on the upper floor of the pier building. It is called Noodle & Dim Sum Kitchen.
Embarked on the boat. My wife needed smelling salts. The boat is good, but we are not used to it.
Finally arrived in Hong Kong. Slept for a while.
We are looking for accommodation and stopped by a convenience store to grab a bite to eat. We walked a lot and decided to stay near the MTR Jordan station. It's just a 3-step walk from the building to the station.
Went out for a midnight snack.
After a tiring day of travel, I arrived at my accommodation on Nathan Road. The owner was friendly and I paid in cash for my four-night stay.
Date 4
The next day, it started to drizzle. For breakfast, we had a meal at the @block18.in.hk restaurant, which has been awarded a Michelin star.
After lunch, we went to the Big Buddha temple. During our visit, the cable car was closed for maintenance, so we took the bus instead.
Trekking uphill, I must admit, left me breathless and exhausted. My wife and four-year-old daughter had already walked ahead.
The path ascends from Wizdom Path, leading to a height where the majestic Buddha statue becomes visible.
I must admit that my physical condition was not ready for trekking. I was gasping for air.
It is crucial to bring water with you, one bottle per person.
Let's go back downstairs and continue our tour.
The author describes their travel style, emphasizing extended stays at each destination to avoid exhaustion and allow for leisurely exploration. They prefer to spend nearly an entire day at each location, taking breaks as needed and enjoying local cuisine. This approach enables them to create a schedule with one destination per day, ensuring a relaxed and enjoyable experience.
The photo shows a butterfly. My daughter, Nalin, was taking pictures when a group of tourists suddenly surrounded her to take pictures of her. It was quite a surprise!
After that, I felt tired and took a car back down the mountain. However, I fell asleep because I was dizzy from the winding roads. On the way down, I saw a Hot-Star fried chicken shop near my accommodation, so I bought some to take back and eat.
However, the condition of the tourist's face is not shown in the picture, as it is very tiring.
May 5th
We usually stay at hotels without breakfast, so we stock up on bread at night to eat in the morning. Today it's raining, so we're going to the mall. The first meal of the day is...
Taste Citygate is a food court located in Citygate, Hong Kong. It offers a variety of food stalls where customers can purchase food and eat at standing tables.
I had meatballs with rice for lunch. I was very hungry. Salmon will heal everything.
Despite the rain today, we will be heading to Tai-O. We will be taking bus route 11, which will take approximately 1 hour and 42 minutes.

After getting off the car, I looked for something to eat again. Haha, this is delicious.
Despite the pouring rain, we decided to take a boat ride. We figured, "We're already here, might as well." (However, I ended up getting sick that night.)
The boat was not only occupied by three people. There were other passengers, but due to the rain, there were not many people riding the boat.
The boat ride wasn't very long, just a scenic cruise. It was windy and rainy.
He then went down to take some photos.
Is there anything funnier than this?
Let's kiss.
Exhausted after coming back, I ended up eating like a storm at Taste in Citygate again.
On the 6th, we went to Dragon's Back. We left early in the morning and took a bus to Big Wave Bay Beach. We didn't swim because we didn't bring any swimsuits.
The beach is beautiful, but today we are here to hike up the mountain.
Let's fuel up before climbing the mountain.
The path to Dragon's Back is easier to walk than the path from Wizdom Path. There are well-maintained stone steps to walk on, but it is still a challenging climb. Halfway up,
Remember to bring water when hiking. It is crucial to stay hydrated, especially in hot weather. Dehydration can lead to serious health problems, including heatstroke.
Let me tell you a little secret: to capture this image, we had to climb quite high. In the picture, it looks like we are precariously close to the edge of a cliff, but in reality, it's just a camera angle. My wife climbed up high and then zoomed in. The angle and timing are perfect, and this is the view we saw with our own eyes.
The atmosphere is really good. There are people playing (what is it called, paramotor?) The wind is very good.
We have finally reached the Peak of Dragon's Back! We have conquered the highest point of Dragon's Back. I came with my 4-year-old son, who was amazing. He walked the entire way without being carried (I couldn't carry him, I was too out of breath!).
A noteworthy detail is the location of the restrooms. They are conveniently situated at the entrance, allowing visitors to relieve themselves before embarking on their exploration. Upon returning, restrooms are readily accessible once again, located conveniently along the roadside below.
After descending from Dragon's Back, we hopped on a bus to find something to eat (eating again, haha!).
Afterwards, take a stroll along the beach to aid digestion.
The atmosphere was peaceful. I felt a sense of unease, as if I were about to catch a cold. That night, I slept restlessly. The medication I needed was not available in Hong Kong without a doctor's prescription. So I drank plenty of water and rested for a long time.
Okay, that's the end of day 6 and the last day in Hong Kong. On day 7, we will return to Macau by boat, just like we did on the way here.
