...I asked my friend last night if I could go out and capture the atmosphere again tomorrow.
And there's one picture I really want to find in Penang...but I haven't found it yet. I'm going to go look for it again tomorrow.
Will you go with me???
...She didn't think twice >> You go ahead (high-pitched voice) (I'll sleep in tomorrow and wait for you to come back)
Day 4 (June 2, 2017)
Alas! Today marks my final day in Penang. How swiftly the days of merriment have flown by!
7:00 AM... The alarm clock rings, and I immediately jump out of bed...
...This morning, I have only until 10 am to soak up the atmosphere for another day...
The morning air is still pleasant, but it starts to get hot later in the day.
The image I most want to find and see is...the painting "Old Indian Woman", which she hides in a small alley that few people have ever touched. Or maybe she's a shy woman, so she has to come and hide her in a place that's hard to find like this, right?...
Having found the image we were looking for, it was time to take in the morning atmosphere. The early hour meant there were few other tourists around.
Morning market
I wandered aimlessly, exploring every alleyway that caught my eye. The morning sun beat down on me, and soon I was breaking a sweat.
I noticed that people in this city love to eat noodles. All kinds of noodles! If they had the right ingredients, they would be even more delicious.
Walking around... I ended up at the fresh market... Up here, they probably sell fresh meat.
Wrought ironwork is ubiquitous throughout the city, much like the art of mural painting...it's incredibly stylish.
We've reached the other side of town now. There aren't many tourists here, but the buildings in this area have a unique aesthetic.
And then I returned to the original side... Suddenly, I walked past the Camera Museum, the first-ranked camera museum in Southeast Asia. There, you can see the evolution of photography, past and present. The entrance fee is RM20, and the ticket can be used as a discount at the museum's coffee shop, but I didn't use it. I didn't have much time.
It's time to head back to the hotel. My friends are waiting for me. We made plans to have dim sum again at the same restaurant. It was so delicious that we had to go back for more.
We scheduled a car pick-up around noon, Malaysian time, which is one hour ahead of Thailand. I remember changing the time on my wristwatch, but the memory of doing so vanished. Before leaving, I double-checked with the accommodation owner, asking if it was true that Malaysia was one hour ahead of Thailand. They confirmed it. I remained perplexed while waiting for the car, fearing it wouldn't arrive or that I had misinterpreted the time. Surprisingly, the memory returned as we were about to cross the border back into Thailand.
Farewell, Penang...
...We tried to use up all the coins because they don't accept coin exchange....But there were still a few coins left...At the Malaysian checkpoint, there was a water dispenser...We had a mango juice...It was delicious and refreshing...
...For this trip, my friends and I spent around 3,500 baht each...
...Oh, it's amazing... Who says traveling abroad is expensive?...
...See you on our next trip...♥♥♥
