After a long hiatus, I'm finally back with Episode 3. I apologize for the delay, as I've been dealing with a lot of personal issues. However, I'm now back on track and ready to continue. Each episode is independent, so feel free to jump in at any point.

In Episode 3, we will first visit Wat Tham Phuwa.

This temple boasts unparalleled beauty in the city of Kanchanaburi.

The temple is a magnificent example of Khmer-influenced architecture, with intricate carvings adorning the cave walls.

Upon entering the cave (which has been transformed into a Buddhist ordination hall), one will encounter a Buddha statue representing their birthdate and sacred relics brought from the Union of Myanmar.

The space below resembles a grand hall, serving as a venue for religious ceremonies.

The temple features a main Buddha statue, a ceremonial courtyard, and a meditation area.

The cave is divided into several chambers, featuring naturally formed stalactites and stalagmites.

This temple can accommodate up to 500 people for meditation retreats.

The temple provides accommodations, including sleeping quarters, a dining hall, and restrooms, for those who come to practice meditation.

Directions to Wat Tham Phu Wa
There are two routes to reach the temple: 1) From Kanchanaburi-Ban Kao, turn left at kilometer 16 and follow the Phu Pradu-Wang Lan route for another 6 km until you reach the temple entrance. 2) From Wat Tham Khao Pun, pass Somdet Phra Srinagarindra Park, then turn right between kilometer markers 49 and 48. Follow the Phu Pradu-Wang Lan route for another 5 km until you reach the temple entrance.

From Wat Tham Phu Wa, we will travel to Sai Yok District to reach our accommodation.

The location is the Float House River Kwai Resort.

To access the Float House River Kwai Resort, guests must take a boat ride.

Board the boat at Phutakian Pier. Boats depart every hour until 6:00 PM daily.

The room rate includes free accommodation, which is a service provided by the hotel.

However, there may be additional charges outside of these hours.

We sailed for a short while, admiring the beauty of the river and the cliffs along the way.

It takes about 10 minutes to get there.

Upon boarding the ferry, you will immediately encounter the check-in counter.

Accompanied by a refreshing welcome drink of chilled roselle juice.

This area has limited mobile phone reception, but free Wi-Fi is available.

No need to worry about staying connected with the outside world.

Let's head to the room.

The accommodations here are long, interconnected floating platforms.

The spacious room features traditional Thai-style design with teakwood furniture.

The houseboat features a bedroom, a workspace, a bathroom, and a deck that extends outward.

Let's take a closer look at each section.

The spacious bedroom features a gauzy canopy overhead, creating a romantic ambiance.

There is a sofa for you to relax on.

The television is positioned on the right-hand side, allowing for a more immersive experience of the outdoor environment.

(I think so.)

The bed is large enough that if there isn't enough room for everyone to sleep, you can send the extra person to sleep on the sofa.

The area includes a work desk, a wardrobe, and casual shoes.

The wardrobe has double-sided access, opening to both the bedroom and the bathroom.

The bathroom will have a shared sink area.

The bathroom is divided into wet and dry zones, with a shower and amenities provided.

The bar counter and refrigerator are stocked with food.

From the bedroom, when the door is opened, there is a veranda extending out over the river.

There are canvas beds for you to relax and enjoy the view, and there are also swings for you to sit and enjoy nature.

Let's admire the beauty of the accommodation at night.

The front page is very beautiful.

This location also features a restaurant called Pontoon.

This refers to a buoy, which is a floating object used to mark a location or hazard in water.

Dinner is available as a buffet or as individual dishes.

In the morning, if we are lucky, we might encounter mist playfully teasing the water's surface...

However, I am not a very lucky person, so I did not encounter any mist like others.

In the mornings, most tourists enjoy sitting by the riverside.

We then walked to Ponttoon for breakfast, as usual.

The breakfast here is a buffet, offering a variety of pastries and homemade jams.

Various types of cereals, beverages include plain water, lemongrass water, pineapple water, and orange juice.

Steamed rice, fried rice, stir-fried chicken with chili and bamboo shoots, and... and... something that looks like macaroni.

What is this line called? Let me ask Sanji.

Grilled sausages, ham, roasted tomatoes, and bacon.

The menu also includes salads.

Egg menu available: fried egg, omelet, omelette.

A riverside balcony where you can enjoy your meal while watching the water flow by, bringing a sense of peace and tranquility.

Across from the dining room is the habitat of the red-tailed tinfoil barb. There are many, many of them.

The small beach you see on the opposite side is accessible on foot.

After walking together for a while, it was time to go home.

The return journey is simple: check out at the front desk and wait for the boat to pick you up.

For me, this is a truly relaxing place to unwind.
