Phangnga, low-cost but high happiness :)

The embarkation point of this journey.

Human M: Hey, should we take a break from studying and go on a trip for a few days?

Human W: Let's go to Kanchanaburi! We can go bamboo rafting and dip our feet in the water. It'll be so relaxing!

Human M: Hmm, the sea is better.

Human W: Okay, then how about Koh Kood? It's close to Bangkok.

Human M: Hmm, Chiang Mai?

HumanW: -*-

Human W: Then Phang Nga is finished!!!

Human M: Okay, great! We can go anywhere. :) But is it the rainy season in Phang Nga right now?

Human W: Let's go and see what happens next!

And so, we ended up going on a trip to Phang Nga in a rather unexpected way. But the experience we had was incredibly memorable!

Things to book in advance before traveling.

1. Round-trip AirAsia flight tickets from Don Mueang to Phuket, 1600+ baht per person.

2. Car rental: We booked through the agency website https://www.skyscanner.co.th/carhire comparing from several websites, but this website offered the best price. We booked for 3 days at a price of 1800+ (TOYOTA YARIS).

3. Briza Khaolak Hotel https://www.brizakhaolak.com/ (Tip: We messaged the hotel's Facebook page and booked directly, getting a much cheaper price than popular agency websites.)

Deluxe pool access room for 1599 Baht per night.

All set, let's go!

Day 1 - September 2, 2017

The view was breathtaking before the plane landed. Just this alone made the trip worthwhile.

Upon arrival at Phuket Airport, pick up your pre-booked rental car and navigate using Google Maps towards Phang Nga Province.

We have arrived at briza khaolak. The hotel has two sides: one facing the sea and the other facing the swimming pool.

Relaxing in a warm bath.

Clear sky, sipping cold water, letting thoughts drift with the gentle breeze.

Letting thoughts drift in and out... drifted off to sleep... woke up in the late afternoon and went for a walk around the hotel.

During the low season, the atmosphere is quiet and peaceful, making it an ideal time for relaxation.

The other side of the hotel faces the sea, allowing guests to stroll along the beach or relax and sunbathe.

After a short walk, hunger pangs set in. We opted for Klong Koo Restaurant, where we could enjoy our meal while dipping our feet in the cool water. The experience was incredibly relaxing.

Famished, I realized I had forgotten to take a picture. ><

After recharging our batteries, we decided to take a walk along the beach to aid digestion. On the way, we saw a sign for Coral Beach.

(We wondered if there would be coral reefs right on the beach, so we decided to turn onto this beach.)

Upon arrival, we found the beach to be surprisingly empty and expansive, although it lacked the coral reefs we had initially anticipated.

At the coral beach, there were a moderate number of young men playing surf. <I sat watching their figures. Oh my, they were having so much fun playing! Hehe.>

Sitting and enjoying the breeze and the view, it wasn't long before the sun began to set.

I love this romantic atmosphere.

-Day 2- 03/09/2017

Due to staying up late last night, we woke up rather late and missed the sunrise. ><

After waking up, I had breakfast and went for a walk on the beach in front of the hotel.

Before embarking on our journey today, we relaxed and enjoyed coffee at MATA CAFE.

The iced tea was a bit bland for our taste, which prefers a sweetness that would shock the liver and kidneys. 55

For lunch, we indulged in the delectable offerings of Mr. Ti's Satay Restaurant and the Noodle Shop in front of the Shrine. Both establishments served incredibly delicious dishes.

Satay is available with pork, chicken, shrimp, intestines, and liver!!! Yes, intestines, but let me tell you, it's incredibly delicious.

Khao soi with curry sauce, served with hot fried chicken, is incredibly delicious.

We were both so hungry that we forgot to take a picture again. Oh no! ><

And then we arrived at the highlight of the trip, the viewpoint!

>>>Ao Toh Lee Viewpoint is a short drive past the Samet Nang Chee viewpoint. You can drive directly to the viewpoint, which is ideal for the afternoon hours due to the intense heat. We visited this viewpoint first.

There is a coffee shop at the Toh Lee Bay viewpoint. After enjoying the shade, we headed back to the Samet Nang Chee viewpoint.

The initial plan was to hike up to the Samed Nang Chee viewpoint, but luckily, there was a shuttle service available for 60 baht roundtrip. The ride was thrilling due to the steep incline, but the breathtaking view from the top made it all worthwhile.

After enjoying the view, we intended to have seafood and watch the sunset at the Khao Lak-Lam Ru National Park Welfare Restaurant. However, we did not arrive in time, and the kitchen was already closed. We drove around looking for a restaurant and found Khao Lak Seafood. The food was delicious, and the staff was friendly. Although we did not get to see the view, we still enjoyed our meal.

  • Day 3 - September 4, 2017

The last day of the trip has arrived. After checking out of the hotel, we traveled to Phuket province.

One-day Phuket trip with an evening flight back.

We started our lunch at Grandma Jea's Mee Sa-Pam Restaurant. <We didn't forget to take pictures this time, yay!>

>>>Mee Sa-bpar (Northern Thai dish with rice noodles and various toppings)

>>>O Wat Tao Thale Sapam

>>> Fresh spring rolls with crab filling. We love this menu very much. Delicious!

Next station... This trip wouldn't be complete without a visit to a trendy cafe. Yes, let's find a cool cafe to relax in.

Sweet Talk Shop

The ambiance inside the restaurant

The view from the restaurant is amazing. You can watch the sunset from your seat.

Across from the coffee shop, there is a beach where foreigners are sunbathing comfortably. As for me, I'm walking around with an umbrella because it's so hot! 555

Let's go find some dinner to eat... or else I'll be starving. Hehe.

>>>The Tamarind Tree Restaurant is located near Patong Beach.

We were deeply impressed by this restaurant. Despite its affordable prices, the view was absolutely breathtaking.

The sight that greeted me as I walked down was... wow, stunning!

Exclusive panoramic views from the seats.

The sun is setting, and we must return to our duties to do our best tomorrow. :)

Visiting during the low season >> but high on happiness :) It's true.
