Beitou: A Historical and Cultural Gem

Beitou, a historical town boasting over 300 years of rich history, culture, and natural beauty, was once known as "Patauw," the home of the Ketagalan people. Over time, the town expanded to encompass Xinbeitou, renowned for its natural hot springs and captivating attractions, including the Beitou Hot Spring Museum and the Beitou Library.

The Xinbeitou Hot Spring area has been a popular leisure destination since 1895-1945. Its convenient access by train and abundance of hotels and hot spring baths made it a highly sought-after location. The path leading to the hot springs is adorned with lush greenery, thermal streams, and various points of interest.

Transportation is convenient. We can take the MRT Red Line to Beitou Station (R22) and then transfer to the Tamsui Line to Xinbeitou Station, which is the next stop. After crossing the road and walking a short distance, we will find the park where the Xinbeitou Hot Spring is located.
