After graduating and going our separate ways, it's been a long time since we've seen each other in person. We reconnected on Facebook and decided to catch up over a meal. We chose Central Ladprao as a central location.

When we mentioned Central Ladprao, we were at a loss for ideas. However, our local friend suggested The Terrace. It turned out that our friend was either very familiar with the restaurant or it was very popular, as she gave us the wrong floor number, sending us to the 3rd floor instead of the 5th. As a result, many of us had trouble finding the restaurant.

By the time we arrived, we were already running late. To avoid further delay, we decided to order food right away.

Italian Soda

Crispy Catfish Salad

Assorted Sausage

This is a simple and short translation of the Thai phrase "ไส้กรอกรวมมิตร" which literally means "mixed sausage".

Kurobuta Pork Steak

The food was mediocre, but the lively atmosphere created by the gathering of friends, who were vying for attention and talking in large and small groups, compensated for the dishes that seemed to be catered to foreign tastes. Nevertheless, all the plates were emptied, and my friend insisted that the desserts were excellent. So, we continued our conversation, knowing that we would be there for a while and that our throats would need some refreshment.

Top: Mango sticky rice with ice cream / Bottom left: Sago with cantaloupe / Bottom right: Ruby with ice cream

Sweet Banana in Coconut Milk (Kluai Buat Chi)

My friend's guarantee that the desserts were delicious proved true. From the mixed ice cream and cantaloupe sago to the crispy ruby water chestnuts, the flavors were sweet, creamy, and crunchy, making for a delightful eating experience. The caramelized bananas, which my friend warned sell out quickly and often require pre-orders, were particularly noteworthy. The banana flesh was neither mushy nor overly firm, and it was beautifully arranged on the plate with a rich coconut milk sauce that had a hint of saltiness, perfectly complementing the sweetness of the caramelized bananas.

While I wasn't particularly interested in the savory dishes, the desserts were a true delight. The warm atmosphere of our long-standing friendship made the experience even more enjoyable, and the delicious food only enhanced the pleasure.
