October 1, 2017
..Goodbye "SAPA"...

Good morning on the last day in Sapa...
Let's go see the view from the balcony...

The fog began to descend heavily. I stood there, soaking in the atmosphere for a long time, not wanting to leave at all.

After showering, we went to the hotel for breakfast.
**I forgot to review the breakfast at Sapa Summit. We didn't take any pictures, but the food selection was quite limited, and some items we ordered were unavailable. In my opinion, the breakfast at Sapa Eden offers a wider variety and is more delicious.**
..Returning to Sapa Eden, breakfast is served on the top floor of the hotel. There is a wide variety of food to choose from, but you need to order your first dish first. If you're not full, you can order more.**

Our breakfast has arrived. The omelet is delicious!

After finishing breakfast, we packed our bags, checked out, and left our luggage at the hotel. We then headed to Song Anh Café for coffee. The café is located near the one we visited yesterday, but we just wanted a change of scenery. 555

The coffee is here.

This is the view from this shop.

It's time to go back… go back to get the bag and say goodbye to the lady. We have to go to the bus company to sleep. The lady asked if she should call a taxi for us. We said no, because it didn't look far on the map, so we agreed to walk. The lady said, "Very good," haha.

On the way back, I came across another Vietnamese pizza shop. I was so impressed by the one I had last night that I decided to get another slice.

"Does it look delicious? ...
As I walked on, I started to feel like it was really far. In the map that the agency sent me, it wasn't even close to the company. I had to walk another kilometer. I wonder why the lady said 'Very Good' 555"

…when we arrived, there were already many people there…

We had a reservation for the 11:30 AM bus, which was scheduled to arrive in Hanoi around 5:00 PM. After a short wait, the bus arrived, and we boarded to experience the interior. Before boarding, we were provided with plastic bags to store our shoes, as it is customary to remove footwear on the bus. It is recommended to choose the upper level, as the lower level reportedly has a strong odor of feet.

There is no toilet on the bus, but they will stop twice. The first stop will be after about an hour and a half of driving, and they will give us 15 minutes. The second stop will be after about another 2 hours of driving, and they will give us 30 minutes.

However, the most amazing aspect was the view during the return trip. I chose a seat on the right side, and the view was simply breathtaking. The terraced rice fields were even more stunning than those in Sapa.

The bus arrived in Hanoi's Old Quarter around 5 p.m. This is the bus we took.

We then walked to our booked accommodation, Hanoi Guesthouse Hotel.
..We arrived at our accommodation, let's check in....

The staff here are incredibly friendly. While you wait, you can enjoy complimentary bananas and a variety of beverages. Feel free to help yourself at any time.

Let's go see the room.
The room may seem a bit small, but it's very clean. The bathroom also has a bathtub. Personally, I really like this accommodation. If I come again, I will stay here again.

They gave us a lot of food.

Let's take a look at another room.

This room has a view.

After packing, head out to experience the vibrant lights of Hanoi.

We haven't eaten since this morning. Let's stop by this restaurant to eat.

The third meal of the day was a disappointment, as the restaurant's food was not very good.

The chicken rice in Hanoi tastes like white soy sauce chicken.

After we were full, we decided to go take photos at the Saphan Thewak, also known as the Red Bridge. It's much more beautiful at night than during the day.

We strolled through Hanoi, which was bustling with Vietnamese people on that Sunday.

Strolling around, I tried all the street food I could find. 555
Let's start with the first shop, an ice cream cart in the middle of town. Seeing a lot of people buying, I decided to give it a try.

Two flavors of ice cream, strawberry and vanilla, were served in a traditional Vietnamese conical hat. Both were delicious, even surpassing the renowned ice cream shops of Hanoi.

Continuing on, here is a popular activity among Vietnamese people: "Shuttle Cock kicking." In English, it is called "Shuttle Cock," and it is played similarly to our sepak takraw, but with a shuttlecock that seems to have something weighting it down. I saw many people playing it.

As I strolled along, I noticed a crowd gathered. Curious, I approached to find a man serenading a woman. It was unclear whether he was proposing or simply performing, but the scene was undeniably charming...

The original text is in Thai and translates to:

I found an ice cream bar for 5,000 VND. Let's get it!

Here's the breakdown:

  • เดินมาเจอ (เดิน = walk, มา = come, เจอ = meet) - translates to "I came across" or "I found"
  • ไอติมแท่ง (ไอติม = ice cream, แท่ง = bar) - translates to "ice cream bar"
  • 5,000 VND - refers to the price of the ice cream bar in Vietnamese Dong
  • จัดสิรอไร (จัด = get, สิ = a particle indicating suggestion, รอ = wait, ไร = what) - translates to "Let's get it!" or "Why wait?"

"In Thailand, the most popular sweet treats are carbonated drinks, while here, ice cream is the most popular."

Driven by our desire to try the renowned Vietnamese boiled clams, we embarked on a search that led us to this establishment.

This restaurant likely caters primarily to Vietnamese customers, as the owner does not speak English. We pointed at various dishes and ordered one of each. The dipping sauce arrived first, and it was truly delicious.

The boiled shellfish have arrived... Everyone is enjoying themselves, digging into the shellfish with gusto.

Let's move on… Our next destination is Ta Hien Street, a walking street.

The following is a translation of the provided text from Thai to English:

Many people say that it is like Khao San Road in our country, but I think it is even worse than Khao San Road. There are liquor stores on both sides of the road, and there is almost no way to walk. People are sitting all over the road.

We stopped by to soak up the atmosphere for a bit on the last night of our trip. I won't post any pictures of alcohol though, or else I might get called in for an attitude adjustment. 555
...After that, we went back to our accommodation to rest...

October 2, 2017: Last Day in Vietnam

…Our final day in Vietnam…

Today, we set out to shop for souvenirs.

After breakfast at the hotel, we checked out and left our luggage at the front desk. We then walked to Dong Xuan Market, the largest market in Hanoi.

This area boasts a wide variety of shops, offering everything from clothing and footwear to souvenirs and more.

They were very serious about their selection.

The sentence is already in English. Is there anything else I can help you with?

After shopping, we had lunch at this restaurant.

The last day and one more meal of bún chả. I won't be able to eat it again. 555

After finishing our meal, we continued our search for souvenirs and stumbled upon a shop with a wide selection of goods. The dried lotus seeds were highly recommended, with everyone raving about their deliciousness. We ended up spending quite a bit at this shop, haha.

Next, we went to this shop to buy coffee as souvenirs, as many people had recommended it.

There is a wide variety of coffee to choose from.

After finishing our souvenir shopping, we headed to Avalon BB Garden, located in the heart of Hanoi. From there, we could enjoy panoramic views of the city center.

Most people come here for barbecue, but we came for dessert. 555

The following is a translation of the Thai sentence "มาดูวิวจากร้านกันบ้าง" into English:

Let's take a look at the view from the shop.

Looking down, you'll see an incredibly chaotic intersection.

We then returned to our accommodation and waited for the car to pick us up and take us to the airport for our flight back to Thailand.
Back to our respective duties...
