Just 25 kilometers from the bustling city of Pattaya, Chonburi, lies a small, unexpected forest. This oasis of nature would not exist without the dedication of King Rama IX to the preservation of forests, soil, water, natural resources, and ecosystems.

The Sirikit Forest Restoration Project, initiated by His Majesty the King, is a forest restoration project located in Na Chom Thian Subdistrict, Sattahip District. It is adjacent to the Khao Chi Chon Wildlife Sanctuary and Silverlake Vineyard, not far from the famous tourist attractions of Pattaya, such as Wat Yansangwararam and Khao Chi Chan.

His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej had a vision to restore the degraded forest area in this region for the benefit of his people and to honor his Queen, who shared his concern for the ecosystem. The project was initiated on the occasion of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit's 60th birthday in 1992. After more than 25 years, it has become the closest green space to Pattaya.

This forest was named "Sirikit Forest Project" by His Majesty the King, signifying Her Majesty Queen Sirikit's increasing age. It is a forest of love, romance, and the care between our parents.

The project site is adjacent to Silverlake Vineyard (on the same road as Wat Yan Sangwararam and Khao Chi Chan). After driving past the vineyard for a few hundred meters, you will find the entrance to the Pa Siri Charoenwan Project on the right. The public can visit free of charge. There is a short nature trail, a variety of forest gardens and plant species, and opportunities to organize tree planting activities and learning experiences.

Visitors will be amazed by the lush greenery just a few minutes from Pattaya. This is thanks to the vision and dedication to environmental conservation of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great.
