The cold wind has arrived.

1864 curves from Chiang Mai to Pang Ung, the "Switzerland of Thailand".

Travel in late October 2017.

In this cool, post-rainy season, only the embrace of mist, steam, and the gentle chill of the wind is worthy of you. Go forth and experience it.

This path also offers a certificate upon completion.

From U-Tapao Airport to Chiang Mai Airport, the flight takes 3 hours and 50 minutes, arriving in Chiang Mai at 4:55 PM.

I didn't book accommodation today, so I slept at the airport. It was comfortable with air conditioning and convenient bathroom facilities.

Make yourself at home.

Waited until 4 am for the rental car to be delivered to the airport.

(Daily car rental fee: 1200 baht, fuel not included)

After getting the car, I drove to the morning market near Tha Pae Gate Road in Chiang Mai.

The porridge is delicious, the shop is located opposite the market, easy to find. Even Noh Udorn has been here!

Not only is the porridge excellent, but the pork blood soup and the mixed rice with various toppings are also delicious.

With full bellies, we continued our journey to Mon Cham, eager to witness the sunrise.

The air has turned cold, and a thick fog has descended, obscuring everything from view.

The following is a translation of the provided text from Thai to English:

"We arrived at Mon Jam and were a little disappointed. It wasn't as amazing as we expected from reading the reviews."

Others came to take pictures with the children of the mountain and eat hot roasted potatoes, which was quite enjoyable.

The road then continues straight onto Route 1095. Oh my god, there are so many curves! The road has no straight sections at all.

This event was "intense," according to one member. They traveled for 8-9 hours, making frequent stops along the way, primarily for bathroom breaks.

This is the Kiw Lom viewpoint.

Someone is playing on the swing, their legs are shaking, the wind is strong, and they look like they're about to cry.

But she's very brave (the one in the gray shirt). Haha, funny.

Her shoe fell on her friend's head.

The next highlight is the Lod Cave, which requires a bamboo raft to navigate through. However, during this period, the water level is still high, so only one cave, the Nam Lod Cave, is accessible. It is undeniably stunning.

Ideally, friends should visit during the summer season to experience all three caves.

The cave is home to a large population of bats and swiftlets.

The entrance alone is enough to win my heart.

Popcorn rock.

This is pancake rock.

Prince Frog Stone

As dusk approached, we continued our journey to Pang Ung. Upon arrival, we sought accommodation, finding that most lodgings in the area were priced at...

500 baht per night for two people. The entrance to the village has only a few dozen houses, making it quaint and charming. The highlight is the delicious barbecue available.

Two sets for 220 baht each.

Exhausted and tired, I'm going to sleep now.

Waking up at 4:30 am, there is a shop selling deep-fried dough sticks, soy milk, and french fries. This shop is located right here. It's delicious and affordable.

The monks set out for their morning alms collection around 5:30 am.

For those who do not have their own vehicle, there are shared taxis available to take you to and from the village to Mae Hong Son city.

Two trips per day.

The first boat departs from Pang Ung at 5:30 AM.

The second trip departs from Pang Ung at 3:00 PM.

The atmosphere is truly amazing! There is a morning paddleboat activity for 150 baht, which allows two people to paddle around the entire reservoir.

The King's Forest

It's time to move on!

The dog in the picture is as cute as this one.

It's late, pack your things and prepare to leave Pang Ung. Continue to Rak Thai Village, a Yunnan Chinese village.

The village is surrounded by mountains, with numerous resorts and tea plantations. The atmosphere is lively and bustling.

Without further ado, let's go on a food hunt. I recommend P'Nuey's shop. Take note, every menu is delicious. I'm not exaggerating.

This dish does not include the cost of advertising. I ordered several items, and the taste was good without the need for additional seasoning. The noodles were chewy and the spiciness was just right.

Nod confirmed it.

The following is a translation of the Thai phrase "มีชาฟรี" into English:

There is free tea.

Yunnan Rice Porridge

Yunnan Guava Juice

Yunnan-style dry rice vermicelli salad

It looks like a vermicelli salad, but it's not. The noodles are chewier and more elastic. The taste is similar to Thai laab.

If you could lick it, you would have already licked it. 555+

Shops in this area are popular for selling tea, plum, and Yunnan noodles.

We intended to take pictures at the tea plantation, but it was not yet open.

The opening hours are from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Is it really time to go back?

I feel dizzy just seeing the curve.

Return stops include Pai and Tha Pae Gate in Chiang Mai.

Tha Pae Gate is much different from the first time I visited. I remember there being no one around then.

Today, both birds and people are abundant, adding to the charm of Tha Pae Gate.

The wedding is here.

Another short trip filled with stories has come to an end.

See you again in the next review, which will be just as exciting!
