With only 2 days and 1 night, or even just a morning and evening trip, this destination is easily accessible...
.
A short and sweet escape from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok, just a stone's throw away, to breathe in the fresh air.
To whet your appetite, let's take a tour of the hip and trendy hotels we visited before serving you the main course.
.
"The House of Desire" ... Just the name alone is enough to make one's heart race.
Which hotel has so many photogenic corners that you can't stop taking pictures?
This short trip will be reviewed. Just 2 days and 1 night, you can be chic…
As we were heading to Amphawa, which is only a 1.5-hour drive away.
Immerse yourself in the authentic charm of the countryside, just a stone's throw away.
How did we end up staying here? Well, we got super cheap tickets. How cheap? So cheap it was practically free.
199 baht? Wow, you got a hotel this size for that price?
In reality, we are fortunate. The website hitevent.com can be considered as a form of advertising itself. 555
(This is a website about various special events, the format of which will change over time.)
Let's do a review since we're already here.
The room we got was the smallest room in the hotel. It cost around 1500-2000 baht per night.
The most luxurious and expensive room, which is beyond our budget, costs around 3200-4300 baht per night. The room has two floors connected by a beautiful spiral staircase, making it ideal for couples.
Let's start with the pool view of the hotel. The pool is not very large, but it is beautiful, clean, and the water is crystal clear.
A medium-sized, crystal-clear pool sits in the heart of the hotel, inviting guests to take a refreshing dip.
The front of the hotel resembles a Chinese-style inn. The decor is a bit old, but very chic. You can take stylish photos even before you step inside the hotel.
This is a check-in point. Who parked their motorcycle in the way?
After checking in, let's find a spot to take a picture.
้่่้
Upon entering the hotel after check-in, you will immediately encounter this corner.
The hotel has 2 floors and is not very large, allowing you to walk and take photos throughout the premises.
There are many props available. The bicycles you see can actually be used. You can ask the friendly aunt for permission to ride them.
However, please do not ride too far from the hotel.
A friendly reminder: there is a garden in front of the hotel, and there are **dogs** guarding the garden!
The dogs may chase you, so please be careful and watch your surroundings.
We have a wide variety of props available. Anyone who wants a haircut, please take a seat.
It's time to go to bed. Pack your things before you go out to find a cool spot (oh, you don't have to look, it's really everywhere).
Compact bedroom with a comfortable double bed for two. The bed is neither too soft nor too hard, ensuring a good night's sleep.
Coffee, Ovaltine, and bottled water are provided for two guests. Importantly, these are **free of charge**.
**
No need to bring anything, as they provide everything you need.
- Soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, cotton buds, towels, hair dryer -
After a tiring swim, there is a soft corner to rest your bottom and lean back comfortably. You might even fall asleep.
The hotel's rear side is adjacent to a canal that leads to the floating market.
If you wake up early enough, you can see monks rowing boats to collect alms.
Breakfast is also a full spread.
You'll be full for sure. On Saturdays and Sundays, breakfast is buffet style.
On weekdays, it's A la carte, order to eat.
You can add more for free if you're not full.
There will be rice porridge with toppings + fried egg + sausage + bread/jam + Ovaltine / coffee / orange juice.
Upon arriving in Samut Sakhon, a visit to the Bang Nam Phueng Floating Market is a must!
Parking cost me 40 baht, paid in full.
Feeling hungry, time to find something to eat..
Driven by hunger, our noses followed the scent to Aun Na's Shop (Ancient Pad Thai, Fresh Shrimp).
It's not hard to find, located in the middle of the canal.
Aun Na's shop was the reason we walked past it but had to take three steps back to look again.
Because the price caught our eye, and the money in our wallets.
Because Pad Thai is only 25 baht a plate. Hey, is there anything else to eat these days that's less than 40 baht?
Without hesitation, we ordered two Pad Thai, one plain water, and grilled squid (100 baht).
Taste of Pad Thai: Delicious, just the right amount of flavor.
Grilled Squid: Average (better to eat it by the sea).
Total cost: 160 baht for this meal (25 + 25 + 10 + 100).
The must-try delicacy of Samut Songkhram is the Mae Klong steamed fish, known for its unique "frowning face" and "broken neck" style.
Don't miss the opportunity to bring some back as souvenirs for your loved ones.
Prices are 4 for 100 baht and 5 for 100 baht.
There are many shops to choose from, offering various types of fish, including steamed and pickled options that can be stored for up to a year.
Since mackerel is a specialty of the province, there are souvenirs available. Wow, they even come as keychains!
They also come in baskets, making them a delicious gift for friends or loved ones.
Even though it's late, there's still plenty of food available.
While some restaurants have closed, others are just opening up.
Auntie's crispy pancake is a must-try. If you come to Amphawa, you must visit Auntie's shop.
Taste: Crispy on the outside, soft and creamy on the inside, with a perfectly balanced sweetness.
"The squid is spinning, spinning, spinning. When will I get to eat it?"
A childhood thought flashed through my mind!
So I picked up my camera to take a picture, but the peak wasn't me taking the picture.
But the uncle also picked up his camera to take a picture of me.
Bang !!
Why is the uncle taking pictures?
Oh, we're reviewing the uncle's squid. The uncle must be reviewing this kid holding the camera.
I've had Uncle's squid.
Anyone who has ever eaten Uncle's squid, try bringing a camera to take a picture of Uncle. I wonder if he will take a picture back. Haha
Taste: The dipping sauce is delicious, the squid is chewy in Uncle's style.
[ It's gone in a flash. Wow, is it really delicious?
No... I bought a little. Boom! ]
After a satisfying meal, it is highly recommended to book a ticket for a boat tour to observe the lesser mouse-deer.
The ideal time for this activity is between 6 pm and 7 pm. If you arrive later, there may be fewer people, but you will have to wait longer for the boat to depart.
Our camera is not professional enough to capture fireflies, so we don't have any pictures of them. It was too dark. We would like to remind visitors that they should not use flash photography to capture fireflies. Not only will it not allow you to see the fireflies, but it will also disturb others.
At first, I thought it would only take a few minutes, but it actually took almost an hour. As you can see from the yellow line, the boat sailed in a circle, turning to the right. It was quite a distance, and we had a good time on the boat. There are many firefly watching piers, and each pier has its own unique features. At some piers, you can even call the fireflies to fly to your boat. It's very romantic.
Besides the delicious mackerel, this place is also famous for its crab with roe.
As for the price, well, it might make your hair stand on end.
The price on that day was 900 baht per kilogram.
We ordered half a kilogram for 450 baht and got 3 crabs (not the muscular type).
Taste: Full of roe, as it's a crab with roe, creamy, delicious, and the dipping sauce is spicy. Freshness is average.
The name of this restaurant is Nong Aum Restaurant, which was recommended by a local lady.
They have a variety of dishes on the menu.
- Spicy stir-fried cockles -
- Shrimp in fish sauce -
Salty, sour, but delicious
Besides the famous floating market, there is a place called Unseen Thailand.
This is Bang Kung Temple
It is famous for its church with tree roots growing around it, and this temple also has horses. Real horses, you know.
There are a lot of horses, right?
Modern and convenient, with a QR code!
After paying respects and making offerings to the sacred objects,
I would like to share the merits with everyone who has read my first review post on the website readme.me.
Thank you.
