Before heading to Koh Chang, we decided to board the ferry at Ao Thammachat.

For those who are afraid that the boat will be crowded with people, especially during long weekends... (I'm sure everyone is afraid! But it's the only time we can travel as small-salaried people, haha) What I like to do is drive my car the night before the long weekend and find a place to sleep near the pier. There are many rooms available at affordable prices, and I can wake up to catch the first boat.

The ferry fare here is 120 baht for a 4-wheeled vehicle and 80 baht per passenger. *I was a little surprised to see a large oil tanker crossing the river by ferry.*

After crossing to Koh Chang, we decided to conquer Klong Plu Waterfall. Since we arrived very early, we couldn't check in and leave our luggage. However, we were eager to explore! (A 2-in-1 trip: island hopping and waterfall adventure!)

Parking is available within the park for free. However, if you arrive later, parking spaces may be limited. If you're worried about finding a spot, there's a nearby parking lot operated by locals (for a fee of around 20 baht). Let's get started!

Approaching the park office, you'll encounter a picturesque corner with curved trees. This spot offers a stunning first impression. Continuing your journey, you'll reach the summit, where the magnificent waterfall awaits. Many foreign tourists enjoy swimming in the water above.

Many foreign tourists come to play in the water here because the water is very clear, cool, and clean. In addition, there are many staff members to help take care of them.

Crystal-clear water, cool enough to see the fish swimming beneath.

After visiting the waterfall until around late afternoon, we checked in at Awa Resort. It has a modern loft design with an open space and clean white color. Even the entrance and lobby areas offer plenty of opportunities for beautiful check-in photos.

Upon exiting the lobby, you will encounter a large, stylish swimming pool near the sea. Looking back, you can see the mountains.

Our Deluxe Beach Front room is a dream come true. The bedroom is minimal and clean, with a large bathroom featuring a bathtub and spa salt for exfoliation.

The afternoon light was beautiful, so I took a couple of photos on the balcony of my room.

We spent the day relaxing by the beach in front of our hotel, swimming and enjoying the sunset. It was a truly romantic experience.

This hotel also offers a seafood buffet in the evening. However, it rained heavily on the first night after dark, so I was unable to capture any photos.

For breakfast, we had a light meal. I don't usually eat little, but I needed to save some room for lunch.

And now, let's head over to the Kularatne Kitchen, located near the Ramayana Hotel.

The dishes we enjoyed included tamarind prawns, seafood stir-fry, sea bass with fish sauce, and seafood hot pot. Personally, I found the tamarind prawns to be the most outstanding dish. The prawns were incredibly fresh and flavorful, and I couldn't resist finishing the entire tamarind sauce.

The restaurant's signature dessert, Lod Chong, is a favorite of Kim.

Next, check in at The Dewa, a tropical contemporary hotel that evokes the feeling of being on an island. Upon arrival, you'll be greeted by a stylish lobby with exposed concrete, creating a hip and clean aesthetic.

Upon exiting the lobby, guests are greeted by a seamless transition to the guest rooms and adjacent swimming pool, offering an immediate opportunity to cool off and unwind after checking in.

This is our Deluxe room for tonight. The number of rooms here is much smaller than at Awa. It's a quiet style, with more foreigners than Thais.

After a refreshing dip in the sea or pool, we couldn't resist the opportunity to sit back and admire the breathtaking sunset. For this trip, we brought along some fairy lights and glass bottles as simple props to enhance our playful photoshoot.

Don't make her angry. 55

After that, we continued to have a barbecue at the hotel.

And before checking out in the morning, we had some coffee and cake.

The must-try menu items include the Lemon Cheese Cake and Black Forest cake. For drinks, the ice latte and Dewa ice tea with mint and strawberry are highly recommended. The ice tea is particularly refreshing, as it features real strawberry pieces and a hint of mint.
