Lost in Hong Kong: A 3-Day, 2-Night Adventure

Hello everyone, I recently had the opportunity to visit Hong Kong from October 19th to 21st, and I'd like to share some of the photos I took during my trip.

This trip, we traveled with Airasia flight FD 508.

Please order food in advance before your trip. 100 baht.

The journey takes approximately 2 hours and 50 minutes. Hong Kong time is 1 hour ahead of Thailand time.

I have arrived in Hong Kong.

Upon arrival in Hong Kong, the first essential item to acquire is an Octopus card. This versatile card facilitates transportation on buses and MTR trains, as well as purchases at convenience stores. Priced at 150 HKD, it offers 100 HKD in usable value, with the remaining 50 HKD serving as a refundable deposit upon card return.

Day 1

Our first stop from Hong Kong Airport will be a cable car ride to Ngong Ping to visit the Big Buddha. To get there, take the S1 bus to the last stop at Tung Chung.

Please store your luggage at Citygate Outlets first. Lockers are available in two sizes, large and small, for $10 per 2 hours.

Upon arriving at the Ngong Ping cable car, we encountered a long queue. Fortunately, we had purchased vouchers in Thailand, allowing us to bypass the line and proceed directly to counters 13-14 to collect our actual tickets.

One round-trip crystal cabin ticket, please. ^^ I want to see the view below. Haha!

There are shops and restaurants above.

There are many tame cows here.

Let's go and pay respects to the Big Buddha.

After paying respects at the Big Buddha, we checked in to our hostel in the Tsim Sha Tsui district. The hostel was conveniently located right next to the MTR station.

The room size is acceptable for the price. The building entrance and elevator may seem a bit intimidating. Luggage storage is available until 6 pm.

In the evening, we went to The Peak to enjoy the view. We took the Star Ferry from Tsim Sha Tsui to Central, then transferred to bus route 15C to take the Peak Tram up to the top.

Upon arriving at The Peak Tram, I encountered extremely long queues for both ascending and descending journeys. Consequently, my plan to return and witness the Symphony of Light had to be abandoned.

The view from above is beautiful. The wind is very cool.

We decided not to wait in line for the tram because there were too many people waiting. Instead, we took bus number 15 to Central. It took a little longer, but it was better than waiting in line for the tram.

Taking a stroll around Central, I came across open-top buses and trams.

A true classic! I'd love to ride it, but I'm worried about getting lost on the way back. Haha.

Before returning to my room to rest, I stopped by to grab a free waffle from Klook. ^^

We took a short stroll around Tsim Sha Tsui to find some food, but by then my legs were already giving out. 55555

And that concludes DAY 1.

Day 2

Today, we have a plan to visit Ocean Park. Before that, let's refuel first. This morning, we stopped by Hung Lee for breakfast. It's located in the Tsim Sha Tsui area and has a menu in Thai. The seller can speak Thai, so don't worry about ordering the wrong thing. 555555

Pork chop skewers, delicious and plentiful.

Served with deep-fried dough sticks.

On my way to the MTR.

After a satisfying meal, we headed to Ocean Park. We started from MTR Tsim Sha Tsui, taking the red line and transferring to the green line at Admiralty station to reach Ocean Park station.

Public transportation in Hong Kong is heavily utilized by the population.

We've arrived at Ocean Park! Get ready for an exciting adventure!

Take the cable car across to the other side to play with the toys. ^^

I'm here! Just seeing it makes me want to play already. 555

Let's try it! It's so much fun!

This is suitable for children to play with. It's pretty harmless.

Let's get wet together.

The adorable baby seal is basking in the sun.

The penguin chicks are adorable. ^^

The aquarium will feature tanks showcasing various fish and aquatic creatures.

Visitors to Ocean Park are advised to bring their own water bottles as refreshments inside the park are very expensive. A bottle of water costs $32 (equivalent to over 100 baht).

This set costs $80 each.

After exhausting ourselves at Ocean Park, we decided to try Hong Kong's dim sum. We went to Tao Heung in the Tsim Sha Tsui district. This restaurant offers a 50% discount if you arrive before 11 am, but we arrived late and had to pay full price. 😭😭😭

The total cost was $216, but the food was delicious.

Initially, I intended to watch the Symphony of Lights to make up for missing it yesterday. However, I couldn't find the exit today. Reviews mentioned different exits, and I ended up arriving at 8:20 PM, after the show had finished. Feeling disappointed, we decided to walk around Temple Street and find some desserts. We reached the location via Jordan MTR station.

Another day down, DAY 2.

Day 3

Today is our last day in Hong Kong. We will start the day by taking photos of the buildings that were featured in the movie Transformers.

Encountered another tram while walking.

We have arrived at the building. It is old but beautiful.

On our last day before returning home, we decided to pay a visit to a temple. Our first stop was Chi Lin Nunnery.

Take the MTR to Diamond Hill Station, Exit C2.

Stopped by for a delicious bubble tea to recharge.

The second temple we visited was the Sik Sik Yuen Wong Tai Sin Temple.

After visiting the temple, we retrieved our luggage from the hostel and headed to the airport. We took the A21 bus from Tsim Sha Tsui directly to the airport, which cost $33.

This is a three-day, two-night trip to Hong Kong. The itinerary was originally planned for many places, but some had to be cut due to time constraints. The time could not be estimated because it depended on the number of people at the destination. The details of the trip may not be very detailed, so please forgive me. You can find more information on the website hongkongfanclub. See you again next trip, thank you and goodbye.
