Bighorn National Forest

Location: Sheridan, Wyoming, United States

This trip was very 'spontaneous'.

After returning from our trip to Yellowstone National Park, we found ourselves with some free time and a desire to explore. We decided to search for a nearby destination that could be visited in a single day.

It has come to my attention that Bighorn National Forest in Wyoming, America, is home to a lake called

'Sibley Lake' is approximately 1 hour away from home. Awesome!

But! How do I get there? I'm thinking of the face of a kind friend.

-----------------------------------------------

The evening before our departure, we half-coerced and half-pleaded with our Puerto Rican friend, Aeo, to join us on a trip to Nan. With her characteristic kindness, she readily agreed.

We departed from our accommodation around two in the afternoon. We stopped to take pictures intermittently.

This path, which we used to traverse Yellowstone National Park, previously alleviated some of the tension associated with mountain climbing.

The entire route is uphill, so be sure to watch out for oncoming traffic from the opposite direction.

There are no barriers on the side of the road!

Seat belt is a restraint. Just kidding.

We drive slowly for safety. Let's go slowly, friends. Try to pat your friend's shoulder all the time.

-----------------------

We arrived at Sibley Lake after about an hour's drive.

We drove and saw the lake, but where is the entrance? Oh my god!

Okay! Drive another 200 meters and we'll find the entrance.

However, it's just a parking lot.

We need to park the car here and walk a long distance.

Let's venture into the wilderness together!

--------------------------

After walking about 150 meters into the forest, we came across a small hill. Crossing this hill, we found ourselves at the lake.

Hooray!

Our friend has already taken the lead. Are you waiting for me? Ask your heart. Oh! My calf muscles are bulging.

Finally! One photo captured.

--------------

However, after enduring the uncomfortable journey, we cannot simply stop here. Let's continue walking.

Climb on...

Here it is again!

The lake is surprisingly vast and teeming with life.

--------------------------------

Let's walk down here together.

---------------------------

The dog looked up at the Asian woman with a confused expression, probably thinking to itself,

Who is this? Where in the world are they from?

Stare at it for a moment, smile, and then continue walking.

Walk, walk, walk.

------------------

After a while, we reached a long wooden bridge that stretched along the side of the lake.

----------------------------------------

People come here to relax, fish, and feel like they can just let go.

This spot where we are taking photos offers the most comprehensive view of the lake.

The structure resembles a pier extending into the water, with a swaying motion.

----------------------------------------------

Immerse yourself in the atmosphere.

-----------------------

Attempting to take a Polaroid picture

The Polaroid camera I just bought fell! What the F**k! The lens is shattered!

After assembling it, it finally works. Phew! I almost mourned it.

Let's use a normal camera then.

Crack!

He followed me up, looking friendly.

Couple

-----------

Walk up from the lake along the path.

----------------------

We found various signs here.

What can and cannot be done

Camping is permitted here, but there are time restrictions and associated fees, which are clearly indicated.

The most important thing to watch out for is "bears".

-----------------------------

There were traces of a camp.

"On the way back, I thought to myself, 'Wow, this trip went so smoothly!'"

Oh my god! No way. Oh no.

The brakes of our friend's car overheated and emitted smoke, forcing us to take a break during our journey. This was likely due to the prolonged uphill climb.

I'm willing to wait as long as it takes for the engine to cool down, as long as it doesn't break down.

--------------------------------------

While waiting, we didn't pay much attention to the cars.

Keep taking pictures! Haha!

Interested in the car a little bit..

The smoke cleared within 15 minutes, and we were able to safely return home.

This trip would not have been possible without my three wonderful friends.

This concludes our impromptu trip.

The deal we made was that you would help pay for the fuel.

The next day, she messaged me $5. She never forgets, does she!

Just kidding! Thank you so much to my friends on this trip. It was one of the best memories ever.

We also have a clip of the view while climbing the mountain on the way to Sibley Lake. We will upload it for you to watch when we have time.
