The journey from Bangkok to Uthai Thani takes over three hours.

  • Our first destination was Wat Tha Sung, a renowned and magnificent temple in Uthai Thani. It was an unmissable stop.

Fortunately, we arrived before noon and were able to visit the Glass Cathedral, as it is closed from 12:00 to 14:00.

The interior of the glass temple is stunning.

  • Then, visit Wat Sangkat Rattanakhiri, located atop Mount Sakae Krang, also known as Wat Sakae Krang.

You can drive or hike up the mountain, depending on your preference. The summit offers stunning views of the river and rice fields, as seen in the photos.

  • Tonight, we are staying at Baan Suan Chanthita, a wooden house with four units surrounded by trees. The price is 2,500 baht per night.

The accommodation is very quiet. You can find more information at www.facebook.com/bansuanchantita.

The accommodation offers a lounge area with complimentary Ovaltine and coffee.

The accommodation also offers postcards made by the property itself for sale.

We purchased postcards from the accommodation to document our travel experiences.

After resting, we went for a walk at the Talad Rot Fai market, which is a walking street. However, today is Sunday, so most of the shops are closed. It is only open on Saturdays. We came on the wrong day, so we will have to come back again.

This evening, we will dine at Pa Samran Restaurant, as recommended by our accommodation. The restaurant is situated by the river, offering a pleasant ambiance and affordable food prices.

After a hearty meal, we returned to our accommodation. The atmosphere at night was incredibly peaceful and serene.

Waking up early in the morning, I rushed to the morning market. Crossing the bridge beside Wat Ubosottharam, the riverside view was truly beautiful.

Visiting the market, my sister couldn't resist leaving empty-handed.

After strolling through the morning market, we decided to grab some coffee at Khop 2.

Upon returning to our accommodation, the hosts kindly provided us with a breakfast of chicken rice and stuffed pastries. After a satisfying meal, we prepared to check out. My sister admired the hibiscus flowers, commenting on their vibrant color. The generous hosts gifted us a hibiscus plant to take home and cultivate.

On our way back, we stopped to take pictures of the scenery at Wat Muang, Ang Thong Province.

Drive 200 meters past the entrance sign to Wat Muang, and you will see a coffee shop on the left called Makham. This shop has a beautiful view. You can sit and relax while enjoying the view of the rice fields before returning to the city.

Conclude a two-day, one-night trip to Uthai Thani to celebrate the birthday of my lovely sister. See you again, Uthai Thani.
