After-Work Notes #2

Baan Suan Chanthita, Uthai Thani Province

"If you want to relax, look for green. But if you want to feel refreshed and energized, take yourself to a green space."

A peaceful and serene accommodation surrounded by greenery near Bangkok, with a unique design that evokes the feeling of a Japanese treehouse. The friendly and attentive owners will ensure that everyone leaves with a heart full of joy. This is "Baan Suan Chanthita in Uthai Thani Province."

This trip began with a desire to unwind from the relentless work of 2017. We wanted a change of scenery, a place to relax and enjoy nature without the exhaustion of a long journey. After some searching, we stumbled upon Baan Suan Chanthita, located in Mueang District, Uthai Thani Province, approximately 220 kilometers from Bangkok.

Getting there: The drive takes 2-3 hours, depending on your speed (we drove ourselves). Take Highway 32 until you see the Uthai Thani exit sign, then turn left onto Highway 333. Continue straight for about 9 kilometers, then turn right into the Uthai Thani Provincial Administrative Organization alley for 200 meters. Baan Suan Chanthita will be on your left.
Price: 3,000 baht/night
Note: Baan Suan Chanthita has only 4 treehouses, each accommodating 2 guests (with an option to add 2 more). The accommodation has a few simple rules that are easy to follow. :)

The overall atmosphere of this place is like a treehouse, with a design that contrasts with the surrounding forest garden, yet somehow fits perfectly. It is peaceful, shady, and truly ideal for relaxation. In addition to the beautiful design, the decoration is equally impressive. The owners, an elderly couple, have paid attention to every detail, making it a joy to explore every corner. I can honestly say that I fell in love with this place. It's like being in a dream home.

The resort also offers numerous photo opportunities. Guests are welcome to take pictures anywhere on the property, as long as they do not disturb other guests. Since our visit occurred after a long holiday weekend, we were the only guests present, allowing us to take photos without interruption. :)

Note: In addition to staying here, Uthai Thani has many other tourist attractions, including entering the forest, watching animals, or observing the slow-life of the villagers. I didn't think it would be this interesting. Everyone should try it.

If you go north, try stopping by Uthai.
