Chapter 10 Memory Hall in Taipei, "Taipei", Taiwan: A Day Trip to the Memory Hall
Let's continue. After paying respects and praying to the deities at Longshan Temple, my next plan is to visit the ATT 4 Fun shopping mall to see the Ghlibli Shop there. However, since the journey to this mall requires passing by the Taipei 101 building, I will take this opportunity to review the evening atmosphere there.
To reach this location, take the MRT Subway and alight at Taipei 101 / World Trade Center Station. Exit 5 will lead you directly to the destination.
The roadside is adorned with lights all the way to ATT 4 Fun shopping mall.
To reach ATT 4 Fun, take the MRT to Taipei 101 Station (Exit 5). Cross the small intersection towards Taipei 101. At the traffic light, turn left. Cross the road at the next intersection and continue walking left for 50-100 meters. You will find ATT 4 Fun on your right.
In my opinion, the view of Taipei 101 from ATT 4 Fun is better than the view from closer up.
Head down to B1 and you'll find a giant, huggable Totoro rolling around.
The front of the building also features a large cat car, where visitors can take photos inside.
This place is full of adorable photo props, like miniature ones hanging from trees.
The Ghibli Shop also has a space for reading their comics. This corner is very cute.
What lurks in the hollow of the tree...hee...hee...
Not only that, there's a giant Totoro snoring in the room too.
The largest one is in the innermost corner.
I opened the book, curious about the language it was written in. However, I couldn't understand it. (I hope you understand.) 555
Before leaving the mall, I couldn't resist taking a picture of the Apple Store. It was incredibly large, with a huge crowd and a large number of employees. It seemed to occupy about a quarter of the floor space.
After completing my mission here, it was already dark. I decided to return to the hotel. However, before entering the hotel, I noticed that Ximending was still bustling with people. I decided to take a quick stroll to see what was happening. It was a good way to end the night.
People are still walking around.
The Adidas store stands prominently at the intersection in Ximending. However, I personally found the selection underwhelming. I was hoping to find some football boots, but after walking around Taipei for four days and three nights, I only came across less than 10 pairs, and none of them really caught my eye. Most of the shoe stores here seem to focus on basketball shoes, running shoes, and sneakers.
Across from Adidas, there's the famous Hot Star fried chicken. Let me tell you, it was packed with people and the queue was incredibly long. I decided to come back the next day, as I was tired and the line seemed even longer than the day I bought it. The taste was a bit salty for my liking. I don't know, maybe it's just me, but I wasn't impressed. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. Out of 100, I'd give it a 65-70.
There is a fried chicken shop before entering the hotel. Another shop has a long queue every day. It's because it's located at the back entrance of the hotel. 555
It's getting late, let's go to bed. Tomorrow, I will take you to visit the Beitou Hot Spring and Danshui.
This review will be divided into 8-9 parts, each focusing on a different tourist attraction. Please stay tuned for the next part. I will try my best to find time to review as soon as possible.
