While scuba diving in Thailand, most people think of the southern sea. But how many people know that there is a beautiful "sea" like this near Bangkok, only 2 hours away!!!!

One day, while scrolling through Facebook, I stumbled upon a stunning underwater photograph. Curious about the location, I clicked on it.

"Chumphon Saen Saep Channel, Sattahip District, Chonburi Province"

That's right! You read it correctly. Chonburi, which is incredibly close to Bangkok.

Without delay, I contacted Boat Snorkeling, the diving service provider, through their personal Facebook page.

Price Rate

Boat, a local resident of the Chongsamesan community, explained that his service involves chartering speedboats for private groups. These boats will take you diving in the Ao Samaesan area (not Samaesan Island or Kham Island). The rates are as follows:

1-2 people: 2,500 baht

3-6 people, 3,500 baht.

An additional 600 baht will be charged for each person exceeding 6.

The highlight of this trip is the free underwater photography service! Plus, it's a private chartered trip, so you can enjoy the experience with your loved ones.

We opted for an 8 AM departure. Upon arrival, the team was waiting for us. They assisted us in loading our belongings onto the speedboat. Our boat crew consisted of three individuals.

The following is a translation of the provided text from Thai to English:

Approximately 10 minutes after leaving the pier by boat, we arrived at our first destination, a small island whose name I can't recall.

The nearby islands are all under the jurisdiction of the navy. As it is currently sea turtle nesting season, we were only able to walk on the beach and could not go up to the islands.

The team offers free photography services, both on land and underwater, at an incredibly affordable price. This is an exceptional value for money.

After taking some photos, the team led us down to the water's edge and taught us how to use the snorkeling equipment. (Those who have never snorkeled before need not worry about whether they can participate, as they will be taught everything they need to know, and the safety measures are excellent.)

Our final request was to be taken to a deeper location, as we wanted to capture photos of ourselves floating to the surface. This spot was estimated to be around 10 meters deep.

Diving into the depths of the ocean felt like flying, an exhilarating experience that has left me captivated by the allure of the underwater world.

When visiting and admiring the underwater natural wonders, remember to be a responsible tourist. Refrain from taking anything as a souvenir. The breathtaking beauty of nature has taken countless years to create.

After a full 3 hours of diving at 3 different spots, the team returned us to the original pier.

This trip was another one that I felt very impressed with, both the location which is not far from Bangkok, the team that took good care of us, and the underwater nature that is still very much intact. If there is a chance, we will definitely meet again.
