An Mitrchai, director and actor, revealed that "Due to the popularity and positive reception of the historical Likay performance, Achatasatru, in June 2017, many fans have requested another performance. This year, the Department of Cultural Promotion, Ministry of Culture, continues to support the Likay Dharma History 2: The Musical, The Story of Amrapali. The highlight of this event is the participation of actors from the Buddhist epic series "The Great Buddha" ("Phra Buddha Chao Maha Buddha"). Thai audiences are familiar with Himanshu Soni, who played the role of Prince Siddhartha and the Buddha. Abhiram Nain, who played the role of Ajàtasattu, another prominent actor, will also be joining the cast.

The performance is scheduled for April 24th and 25th, 2018, with free admission for students and the general public. A charity performance will be held from April 26th to 29th, 2018, with proceeds donated to the Sathienthammasathan Foundation for the construction of a Mindfulness Hospital (Dharmasram), a community of mindfulness with innovative support from birth to death.
