**Chapter 10: Memory Hall in Taipei, Taiwan: A Day Trip to a Place of Remembrance**

After a long hiatus due to commitments to official duties, royal affairs, and hobbies, I am finally able to resume my reviews. Are you ready? This episode is dedicated entirely to food. (I must confess that I have truly missed this hobby!)

Okay, take a deep breath and let's get started. As I mentioned in the previous episode, I took you to Taipei City Mall and the Ferris wheel at Miramar Entertainment Park. Now, my stomach is starting to growl. I took the red MRT line to Jiantan Station. Let me emphasize, the station to get off at is Jiantan Station, not Shilin Station. I repeat, I got off at Jiantan Station. Take Exit 1 and cross the street, and you'll find many restaurants. It's the place with a lot of people. You've come to the right place.

It's so sad that it's raining. 555 The seller of the big octopus takoyaki is sitting dejectedly.

I can't remember what this is. Haha, I'm getting old and my memory is short, but my love for you is long, very long indeed.

This is the highlight grilled meat, but the seller is not here, so let's skip it for now and come back later.

I have arrived at the entrance of Shilin Market after walking through the rain.

If you find this shrimp shop, it means you've come to the right market. Hehe.

Upon entering the market, I discovered a variety of goods being sold, including footwear, apparel, accessories, and electronics.

The main reason for my visit is to sample the local cuisine at this market.

Take the escalator down to B1.

I can't remember what this restaurant is called. Haha. I've been sitting on this review for two months. Serves me right. Haha.

The entire B1 floor is dedicated to food and beverage establishments.

Almost all shops are the same, selling fried food and made-to-order dishes.

The abundance of shops selling similar items made it difficult to choose where to eat. After walking around once, I came across a particular shop.

Let's take a look at the menu first. Wow, it's really cheap! Since I've been abroad, I've never eaten such cheap food before. The only thing cheaper would be the instant noodles I brought with me, haha.

If you walk down the escalator, turn your back to the escalator, and look straight ahead, the shop will be in the upper right corner. The shop is lovely, and the staff is friendly and smiling.

Let's take a look at the menu. The first dish is a simple stir-fried morning glory. The result is that our home-cooked version is much more delicious. It's a landslide victory. It's so bland that if it were a football match, it would be a 3-0 loss. No contest at all (this is just my personal opinion). If anyone has a better dish, please don't tease me. Haha.

The second menu is oyster omelet. This menu, compared to ours, might be on par, but ours secretly wins 1-0. Haha.

This dish is an oyster with some kind of sauce. I highly recommend it. It's really the best. The oysters are so fresh, and the sauce is so flavorful. It's sweet, sour, and salty, and it just melts in your mouth. I think this dish is better than anything you can find in Thailand. It's more expensive, but it's worth it.

The last menu I ordered was beef fried rice, but I got shrimp fried rice instead. But I was very hungry, so I didn't mind. I can eat anything at this time. The fried rice smelled strongly of burnt pan, which was delicious. If I compare it to the street food in our country, I would give Taipei a 2-1 win.

Group photo again, all of this for a price not exceeding 300-500 TWD. I can't remember the exact number, but you can check the price in the menu I took a picture of above.

Finally, the first barbecue restaurant. The seller was already waiting for us. We got to try it at last. 100 baht per piece.

Although the dish looked and smelled delicious when it was prepared, the rain prevented me from enjoying it immediately. As a result, I had to take it back to my hotel, where the taste was somewhat compromised due to the food becoming cold and the bread becoming soggy. However, I believe that if I had been able to eat it at the restaurant, it would have been much more enjoyable, as the grilling process appeared to make the meat very tender.

My review consists of approximately 9-10 episodes, divided into parts for each tourist attraction. Please stay tuned for the next episode. I will find time to review it as soon as possible.
