Our journey from Hat Yai to Pak Bara Pier has come to an end, and it's time to set sail for Koh Lipe on a speedboat! This is a summary of our trip from Pak Bara Pier to Koh Lipe: i. Check-in and receive speedboat tickets ii. Board the boat at Pak Bara Pier iii. Arrive at Koh Lipe

Check-in and receive speedboat tickets

We booked a combined ferry ticket, including a minivan and ferry service, from Hat Yai to Koh Lipe on BusOnlineTicket.co.th. After traveling with Sea @ Holiday from Hat Yai to Pak Bara Pier, the onward journey to Koh Lipe was completed by Bundhaya Speed Boat service.

Note: Bunda Yaya Speedboat only sells passenger tickets from Pak Bara Pier to Koh Lipe and can be booked at BusOnlineTicket.co.th.

To check in, passengers must visit the Bandaya Speedboat office to collect their tickets. Bandaya Speedboat is well-known among locals in Satun city. The ticket office is located at Pak Bara Pier in La-ngu district, Satun province, making it easy to find the check-in location.

Pak Bara Pier, Satun Province

After we had taken care of the tickets, we walked to the pier and waited for our boat.

The pier area has a designated passenger waiting area for those awaiting their departure time. The waiting area offers ample seating in various locations, allowing passengers to relax and rest while they wait for their ferry to depart.

Boarding the Bundhaya Speedboat to Koh Lipe

The platform for the Bhandari Speedboat is located at platform 4. There were many other service providers at the pier when we arrived. We showed our tickets to confirm our seats.

The officers helped us onto the speedboat and loaded our luggage onto the boat. They collected our luggage tags and stored our luggage in the designated compartments. We would need the luggage tags later to retrieve our luggage, so we kept them safe.

They also provided stickers to identify our hotel and gift cards with exit gate information and seat numbers, although we didn't have to sit according to the numbers. Life jackets were available for all passengers on the speedboat.

Once everyone was on board, our boat departed from Pak Bara Pier. As speedboats travel at a higher speed than regular ferries or tour boats, the journey can be bumpy. Those who are prone to seasickness should take medication before the trip begins.

Before reaching Koh Lipe, we need to transfer to a smaller boat for the remainder of the journey to the beach, as the speedboat cannot reach the shore. A fee of 50 baht has been prepared for the boat fare.
