Sipping a cup of coffee by the riverside, with your feet dipped in the water, creates a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere.

The surrounding atmosphere of Baan Rabeang Nam, situated by the water's edge and enveloped by trees.

Let's take a look at the accommodations. The rooms are located right by the water, so you can hear the sound of the flowing water all the time. The atmosphere is also cool and comfortable, making you feel refreshed when you check in.

Staying here... focuses more on relaxing amidst nature. Sitting by the water, listening to the sound of the flowing water, and immersing oneself in nature can be quite relaxing...

Exotic plant species thrive along the stream banks.

The accommodation at Baan Rabeang Nam includes another zone that requires a short walk across a stream.

Crossing the stream, there is a bamboo bridge for people to walk across. In addition to being a bridge for crossing, it is also a great spot for taking photos.

The rooms in this zone are similarly decorated, with a simple and comfortable atmosphere, just like being at home. All bathrooms are equipped with water heaters.

This zone also features a spacious balcony with tables and benches, perfect for enjoying the view.

In addition to rooms, the accommodation also offers tents for rent. For those who want to experience camping, this is a great option. Bedding is provided.

You can walk along the stream for the entire length. You can walk to find a spot to take photos or a spot to go down and play in the water. Especially in the evening like this, the atmosphere is just right.

The crystal-clear water flows cool and refreshing all year round. The sound of the water gurgling in the stream, eroding the rocks along its path, is an irresistible invitation to immerse oneself in its depths.

Dinner at Baan Rabeang Nam

Here, two meals are provided: dinner and breakfast, which are included in the accommodation fee. Dinner is the first meal served upon arrival, and it consists of 3-4 simple local dishes that look quite appetizing.

The stir-fried mixed vegetables dish is a bit spicy, but delicious and enjoyable.

This "nam phrik ong" is my favorite. It goes well with boiled vegetables. I'm hooked and would love to have more.

Pork spareribs and winter melon soup, perfect for a warm and comforting meal on a chilly day.

Overall, the meal was delicious. If you need more of a particular dish, you can request it. Additionally, if you need more rice, you can also request it. It is important to note that this restaurant emphasizes self-service. For example, if you want to drink water, make tea, or make coffee, you can do so yourself. Also, when you are finished eating, please bring your tray to the designated area so that others can use it.

New Morning in Mae Mae

The sound of flowing water is a lullaby that lulls one to sleep, and it can be heard throughout the night, lingering even after waking up in the morning.

After taking care of personal matters, it was time for breakfast. I went to the large balcony in the common area.

Breakfast typically consists of simple dishes such as rice porridge with pork and boiled eggs, which can be refilled until full. The hot rice porridge and the morning atmosphere really go well together.

After a satisfying breakfast, I took a leisurely stroll along the riverbank to aid digestion. With ample time remaining before the midday checkout, I savored the opportunity to immerse myself in the refreshing natural surroundings. The atmosphere was truly invigorating. For those seeking adventure, exploring the nearby natural trails with a local guide is an excellent option. Several natural attractions, such as waterfalls, are within walking distance.

Time flies by quickly, and it's time to say goodbye to Baan Mae Ma. This relaxing time always seems to pass too quickly. On the way back, the accommodation will drop you off at the same place, which is 7-11 Mae Na (300 baht/trip). Then cross the road and wait for the bus on the other side to go to Chiang Mai city. However, it is recommended that... you ask the accommodation to take you to Chiang Dao district instead (an additional 100 baht). 400 baht per trip will take you to Chiang Dao District Transport. It will be more convenient to find a car to take you back to Chiang Mai city.

Escaping to the natural beauty of Mae Ma Village was a truly refreshing experience. Staying at Baan Rabeang Nam brought me even closer to nature, with its riverside location and welcoming atmosphere that felt like home. If you're seeking a similar escape, I highly recommend considering a stay here. The journey is surprisingly easy, and the accommodation is affordable, making it an excellent value for a nature-filled recharge. It's definitely worth it!
