As mentioned in the previous post, Sea Thru Restaurant, a luxurious beachfront restaurant, announced its menu of Chanthaburi's finest dishes at the Chaolao To Sang Beach Hotel. After driving from Chanthaburi city, we got lost and wandered through hills, valleys, and rubber plantations before finally arriving at the Chaolao To Sang Beach Hotel in the late afternoon. The hotel's parking lot was quite full today, but finding a spot wasn't difficult because we parked right in front of the lobby (meaning the parking lot in front of the lobby, of course).

Entering the building, a receptionist with a bright smile was already waiting to welcome customers. After showing our ID cards, the staff helped us carry our belongings to the room on a trolley. Our room was a beachfront one-bedroom, one-bathroom suite with a balcony facing the sea. It must be beautiful during the day, but it was getting dark now.

After packing our belongings, we rushed to the beach as the sun was about to set. The beach in front of the hotel was vast, so much so that guests could play two football matches simultaneously. The hotel was fully booked today, with a large number of guests.

The sun is setting.

Join us for sunset yoga.

The beach is so vast that it can accommodate two football fields.

After capturing the breathtaking sunset, we returned to our room to freshen up after a long day of exploration. Our path back to our accommodation led us past various types of lodging, including detached houses with double rooms, terraced houses, and apartment buildings. The hotel's diverse selection of accommodations truly impressed us.

Twin Room Accommodation

Our rooms are single occupancy.

The room features a large single bed with incredibly soft pillows and bedding, making it almost impossible to leave for dinner. However, the on-site kitchen closes at 10:30 p.m., and we were unsure if we could resist hunger until morning. Therefore, we reluctantly got out of bed and took a shower to prepare for dinner.

Large and very soft bed

The room features a large glass window offering a panoramic view of the sea. However, as it was already dusk, we closed the curtains and prepared to have dinner.

The room also has a mini-bar with a variety of snacks, drinks, and alcoholic beverages. Charges are based on the price list provided. Complimentary coffee and tea are available in the room. However, we were looking for a more substantial meal, so we decided to skip the mini-bar.

The closet, which is neither too small nor too large, contains two bathrobes, a safe, an umbrella for sun and rain, and a hairdryer. Knowing this, I wish I hadn't brought my hair straightener, as it just adds unnecessary weight to my luggage.

The bathroom of the accommodation is very spacious, with the dry and wet areas separated. Although there is no partition, they are far enough apart that the dry area is unlikely to get wet from a normal shower. In addition, there is a sunroof above the sink, allowing natural light to enter during the day, saving energy. Amenities such as soap, shampoo, conditioner, hair caps, and cotton buds are provided, making for a comfortable stay.

My favorite is the bathroom wall tiles, the patterns are beautiful and luxurious, and they look expensive.

After showering, I lay down to watch TV while waiting for my roommate to finish showering. In the meantime, I rummaged through my belongings. I pressed the button on the 32-inch flat-screen TV, and my eyes scanned the room. At the head of the bed, there was a small stool with a drawer where I could safely store my wallet or valuables. Most importantly, there were "plugs" everywhere, so there would be no need to fight over them tonight. We could all charge our devices to our hearts' content.

The balcony features two beach beds for enjoying the view outside the room. However, if you don't want to leave your room, simply open the curtains. In front of the large glass window, there is a platform where you can lie down and enjoy the view, play, or roll around. You can do whatever you want. But for now, we'll use it to put our things. We'll decide what to do with it in the morning when we see the view.

After everything was settled, we went out for dinner. Today, we decided not to drive and eat at the hotel instead. We took a chance, as most hotel restaurants tend to be expensive and not very tasty. However, this was not the case here. It completely exceeded our expectations. Let's take a look. Sea Thru Restaurant, a luxurious beachfront restaurant, announces its menu of Chanthaburi's finest dishes @ Chaolao Tosang Beach Hotel After a satisfying meal, it was finally time to relax.

This morning at Chao Lao Beach is not as bright as usual, as rain clouds have been gathering since last night, making the atmosphere a bit gloomy. However, there are still people swimming, running, and exercising early in the morning. It is heartwarming to see hotel staff cleaning the beach, which is not something we often see other hotels doing for public beaches. Even though they are only cleaning the area in front of their own hotel, it is still a great example of how nature and business can coexist peacefully.

This hotel also offers alms offering services to guests for a fee of only 50 baht per set. Looking at the offering set, it seems to be worth the price, as guests do not have to prepare it themselves. They can buy it here and make merit here. This is because every morning, monks walk along the beach to collect alms.

Offering food to monks and receiving blessings

After the spiritual nourishment, it was time to satisfy the physical hunger. The organizers had perfectly timed the schedule. The monks arrived at 6:30 AM, and the dining room was already open and ready to serve.

As we sat down to eat, the rain that had been threatening since morning began to pour down. This forced those who were sitting outside to move inside, and the large number of guests quickly filled the dining room. Despite this, the waiters were attentive, walking around to each table to inquire about the guests' needs.

This morning

After a heavy meal last night, we opted for a lighter breakfast this morning, consisting of salad, cooked egg rolls, bread with ham, and a small portion of pancakes. The pancakes were particularly appealing due to the use of real honey instead of the maple syrup often found in hotels.

My roommate's outfit is quite delicious.

The porridge here looks plain and unappetizing, but it tastes surprisingly delicious. The fragrant broth and the finely ground rice are smooth and easy to swallow. As for our pancake, although it was made in advance, the addition of real butter (not margarine) and honey enhances its flavor. The aroma of the butter and the sweetness of the honey make this soft and fluffy pancake absolutely irresistible.

Pork floss sandwich with chili paste is also available.

Fresh salad with a delicious Japanese soy sauce dressing. The chef here is a master of his craft, and the food is truly exceptional.

After a satisfying breakfast, the rain conveniently stopped. It was time to walk off our meal. The Sea Thru restaurant where we ate is right next to a bright blue swimming pool that looked inviting, especially since it was shaped like Doraemon. Unfortunately, I didn't bring my swimsuit, what a shame!

Twin room for double occupancy

I just noticed that there is a swing in front of our room.

We returned to our room, intending to relax for a while before driving to nearby attractions. Our primary destination was the Ao Kung Kraben Royal Development Project, located a short distance away. Additionally, the popular tourist spot, the Nang Phaya Viewpoint, was also within a short driving distance.

We must say goodbye to the Chaolao Saeng Thong Beach Hotel for now, but we promise to return if we have the chance. It's not just the comfortable rooms that we'll miss, but also the delicious food that will linger in our memories. Tonight, we'll be moving to "Khung Wiman Beach," which is not far from here.

In front of our room

The breathtaking ocean view from the spacious room, framed by large glass windows, is truly impressive and unforgettable.
