Everyone talks about wanting to relax at a resort that extends into the sea in the Maldives. But who knew that Thailand has something similar?
Kept Bangsaray Hotel Pattaya is a hotel located in the Bang Saray community, just 20 minutes from Pattaya. It is a beautiful and peaceful place to stay, perfect for a romantic getaway.
Getting there is a breeze. If you're driving, simply open your Google Maps app and type in "Kept Bangsaray Hotel Pattaya," then follow the directions. For those using public transportation, hop on a van heading to Sattahip and tell the driver to drop you off at Bang Saray. From there, a short motorbike taxi ride will take you straight to the hotel.
Upon arrival, guests will encounter tuk-tuks and the hotel's prominent signage. The front area boasts ample seating and picturesque photo opportunities. Check-in commences at 2:00 PM. We arrived around 2:00 PM and were greeted with a refreshing blue welcome drink and a cool towel to alleviate the heat.
The interior offers a variety of games to choose from, including chess, board games, pool tables, and foosball tables.
After a brief wait, the receptionist escorted us to our room. We were assigned a Kept Deluxe room, which measured 44 square meters and featured a bathtub on the balcony. The room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with amenities.
The resort offers seven room types: Kept Skyline, Kept Horizon, Kept Horizon Suite, Kept Deluxe, Kept Suite, Kept Skyline Suite, and Kept Water Villa. Prices range from 3,000 to 20,000 baht depending on the time of stay.
However, there is no need to be alarmed by the price. The hotel offers a wide range of discounts depending on the time of year. You can find information about these discounts on the hotel's Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/keptbangsaray/
After packing our belongings, we went for a walk around the hotel.
Upon exiting through the door, a bar catering to drinkers will be located on the left-hand side, offering a diverse menu of options.
The front is a walkway to the swimming pool, while the right side is a shower for washing before and after swimming.
Walk straight ahead and you will find a bridge stretching out towards the sea. You can walk there to take some cool photos.
The hotel's pool area offers a relaxing space to lounge, sip cocktails, and enjoy panoramic ocean views. In the evening, it transforms into a romantic dinner setting.
Adjacent to the swimming pool are the Kept Water Villas, which extend out into the sea, earning the resort the nickname "The Maldives of Thailand".
A bridge stretches out towards the sea, leading to a pavilion with beach bags where you can relax and watch the sunset.
As we reached the end of the bridge, I took out my drone to capture some aerial shots of the hotel.
At approximately 6:00 PM, we had a pre-arranged dinner with the hotel. Upon our arrival, the staff promptly served us a delectable array of seafood dishes prepared in authentic Thai style. The menu included: deep-fried squid with aromatic herbs, stir-fried crab with curry powder, spicy and sour soup with sea bass, and a shrimp dip served with grilled prawns. The flavors were exceptionally palatable and catered perfectly to our Thai taste buds. To conclude the culinary experience, we indulged in two refreshing cocktails: Skyline and Elder Refreshment.
The romantic ambiance of a candlelit dinner by the sea, complete with cocktails, creates a truly special experience.

After finishing our meal, we played a game of pool and then headed back to our room to catch up on the latest episode of the popular Thai drama "Bupphesanniwat." We're completely hooked! We've also made plans to go for a swim in the pool tomorrow morning, hoping to capture some photos before the crowds arrive.
Waking up at 7 am, ready to welcome a bright new day, I opened the window only to be greeted by heavy rain. The downpour continued until noon, preventing us from enjoying our planned water activities.
At approximately 9 am, we descended to the breakfast room, Kept Marine, situated beside the swimming pool.
The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of options, including hearty Thai dishes and American-style breakfast items. There is also a selection of tea, coffee, and fruit. All items are available on a buffet basis, so guests can enjoy as much as they like.
This hotel truly impressed me and I would love to return. It is conveniently located near Bangkok, boasts a wonderful atmosphere, offers all the amenities one could need, serves delicious food, and has incredibly friendly staff. Describing it all here would be impossible.
If you don't believe it, you have to try it yourself. Don't say "There's nothing there" until you've experienced it for yourself.
