Hello everyone, are you tired of work, tired of studying, tired of everything? Let's go find a place to relax. I don't usually travel to other provinces very often. This trip is another time I get to travel and have fun in other provinces. Before this, I wrote about my trip to Koh Lan. This time, it's not far away, it's the sea again. That is Koh Kood, Trat Province, the eastern sea of Thailand. This trip I went for 3 days 2 nights, packed my bags, camera ready, let's go!

Note: There may not be many photos as most of the photos I took with my iPhone are lost. I'm so sad! >< For this trip, I mainly used my iPhone because it was easier to carry, so there aren't many photos taken with a camera.

This trip began with a sudden urge on a Friday night, a week before the actual trip. My phone buzzed with a notification, and a voice said, "Let's go to Koh Kood." Being impulsive, I readily agreed. I quickly booked transportation and accommodation. On the day of the trip, I woke up at 4:00 AM (was it really necessary to rush so much?) to prepare and leave my dorm by 5:00 AM to catch the 6:00 AM bus to Trat. I hailed a taxi to the bus terminal at Ekkamai. I opted for the 6:00 AM bus to Trat operated by Cherchai Tour. Other bus and van companies were available, including Supha Rat Tour, Chokonukul Tour, and Bor Khor Sor. The first van, according to my research, departed at 6:00 AM.

Upon arriving at the Ekkamai Bus Terminal, I rushed to purchase a bus ticket. Luckily, there were three remaining seats on the 6:00 AM bus, just enough for me and my friend (thanks to all the good deeds!). With tickets secured, we boarded the 6:00 AM bus. My primary activity on the bus was, unsurprisingly, sleeping. Haha! It's a long journey to Trat, taking approximately 5 hours. (Make sure to charge your devices!) I arrived at the Trat Bus Terminal around 11:30 AM. (Finally!) No need to worry about transportation to Laem Ngop Pier. The ferry company I booked with, Boonsiri Ferry, provides a shuttle service. As soon as I stepped off the bus, I called them to confirm the pick-up. The shuttle was a songthaew, so I hopped on as soon as it arrived. We reached Laem Ngop Pier and waited for the ferry to Koh Kood, scheduled for 2:30 PM. It was a long journey, and I couldn't help but fidget, wondering when we would finally arrive. Haha! The ferry was fully air-conditioned, so no need to worry about the heat. The journey to Koh Kood took about 1.5 hours. I drifted off to sleep again, exhausted from the long travel. When I woke up, we had arrived at the island! The ferry company provided transportation to my booked accommodation, which I had informed them about during the ticket purchase. Upon reaching the accommodation, I dropped my bags and grabbed my trusty camera. It was time to explore! It was almost 5:00 PM, so I rented a motorbike from the accommodation and went in search of food. I was starving! After satisfying my hunger, I headed to Klong Chao Beach, the closest and most stunning beach to my accommodation, for some relaxation. I even snuck in a nap on a nearby resort's hammock. Hopefully, they won't see this message! ^^

Day Two on Koh Kood: Exploring the Island's Beauty

The second day on Koh Kood was filled with island exploration. After fueling up with a delicious breakfast, I set off to discover the island's hidden gems. My first stop was a stunning beach, the name of which escapes me at the moment, but I believe it was Bang Bao Beach. This beach captivated me with its crystal-clear waters, charming swings, and a wooden bridge extending into the sea. Gazing down from the bridge, I was mesmerized by the vibrant marine life below, including small fish, starfish, and sea urchins. The beauty of this beach held me spellbound for hours.

Before heading to the waterfall, I visited Ao Noi Beach. There is a pavilion on the beach where you can sit and enjoy the breeze. The staff at Ao Noi Resort told me that it is especially beautiful in the evening. Unfortunately, I didn't get to see it then. If you have the chance to visit Koh Kood, try going to Ao Noi Beach in the evening and see if it's as beautiful as they say. I think it probably is, because even during the day it was stunning.

There is another place that I am very impressed with and like very much. My friend saw a review of this place on Facebook and wanted to go very much, so I took him there. That is Baan Makok. Baan Makok is located by the river, not the sea, but the river. This place is both quiet, peaceful and shady, very suitable for people who want to relax and want peace. I can't stop myself from coming back. It's like being sucked into another world. It's very relaxing and I feel like I'm floating.

There are still many places I haven't been to, and some places I've been to but the photos are gone (sobs). This trip was so short, and on the last day on the island before I had to leave, I grabbed the key, hopped on my motorbike, and rode to Klong Chao Beach early in the morning to soak up the pure atmosphere before returning to the city's smog. Time keeps moving forward, and I really have to go back. But I haven't finished exploring yet. Time for happiness is really short. If I could stay one more day, it would be great. I'll come back again when I have the chance. Let's go together, haha! In the end, for those who want to travel to Koh Kood, have fun! I guarantee that if you go, you'll love it. Pack your bags now! ^^ Quit your job, quit school, haha! Maybe not, find some free time and go, haha! It's really worth going.

Note: There are no ATMs on the island, only a Government Savings Bank branch. There are also no 7-Eleven stores, but there are many local shops. Be cautious when driving as the roads on the island are quite steep and there are no lights at night. Upon your return, the boat will pick you up at your accommodation and take you to the Trat Bus Terminal. On my return trip, I took the Trat-Bangkok van at 1 pm.
