This morning, I rushed to the mall to take advantage of Kasikornbank's QR Code promotion, which offered a discount to the "NINJA MAZE...THE BIG ADVENTURE" event. This event is a simulation of a Japanese ninja village, allowing visitors to experience what it takes to be a ninja.

Before Entering the Event

Get off at Bang Yai BTS Station and walk a short distance to reach Central Westgate Shopping Mall.

The event will be held at Westgate Hall, Level 4.

There are two rounds: Round 1 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM and Round 2 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

We headed to the ticket counter to use the Krungsri QR Code payment promotion, which was very worthwhile. The entrance fee was reduced from 450 baht per ticket to only 18 baht. However, this promotion was limited to only 2,400 tickets. So hurry, or you might miss out!

In addition to the QR Code payment promotion, there are many other promotions available.

Tickets secured! Get ready to enter the Ninja Maze.

Wait... there's a consent form to sign! I wonder what's inside...

Prepare before entering the event

1. Please use the restroom before entering, as there are no facilities inside.

2. Attendees are required to remove their shoes and wear socks before entering the event. Therefore, if you do not want to buy new socks, please bring your own from home. If you forget, socks will be available for purchase at the event.

3. Store your belongings and shoes in the automated lockers, which start at 10 baht per hour. I suggest you deposit a maximum of 20 baht or 2 hours, as you will definitely be out before then. It is recommended that you store all your belongings, except for your event pass and the paper for stamping the prize draw, as the event is dark and it is difficult to see anything when taking pictures. You will also need to climb, so it is best to go empty-handed. The lockers are quite far from the entrance, which is not ideal.

Explore the Ninja Village

Let's enter the event. I didn't take any pictures inside the event because I want you to experience it for yourself. Taking pictures would spoil the surprise for those who are planning to attend.

We must choose between the easy and difficult paths. The difficult path is likely to be more enjoyable. It is recommended to come in small groups, as large groups can be overwhelming. Before entering, we must record the time of entry. Before leaving, we must record the time of exit. Inside, there are various challenges, such as walking on rooftops, rappelling down walls, navigating a maze, solving puzzles, and escaping from a seemingly sealed room. The most intense challenge is the "dizzying room," which can induce nausea, vomiting, and dizziness. However, young children seem to enjoy it, while adults often experience nausea. Some visitors may not experience all rooms due to the winding paths that can lead to unexpected locations. If you are lucky enough to find the exit easily, you may miss some rooms.

Atmosphere at the Ninja Maze Event

The atmosphere at the event is very Japanese. Currently, the (fake) cherry blossoms are in full bloom.

Photo corner atmosphere at the Ninja Maze event

There are small souvenir shops that offer a taste of Japan.

The exhibition features the history of ninjas.

For those who are tired from being a ninja, there are food and beverage shops available to serve you.

This time, I went to the playground alone, but another family joined me in the same round. It only took about 30 minutes. While I was inside, it felt like time was passing more slowly. I don't know if it was because the little boy who was with me was good at finding secret passages or what, but it made us come out quickly. If I had to pay 450 baht, it wouldn't be worth it. It's a good thing there are many promotions to choose from. It was fun and I got to try some new things.

The Ninja Maze event took place at CentralPlaza WestGate, 4th floor, from March 17 to May 31, 2018.
