Chapter 10 Memory Hall in Taipei, "Taipei", Taiwan

And finally, we've reached the final review. It's taken me almost 5 months to get to this point, so I've definitely let it marinate. Let's dive in! After a night of heavy rain at the Shilin Night Market, the next morning in Taipei was cloudy and hazy, as is typical for a city that experiences rain year-round.

The last morning in Taipei, I took everyone on the subway to Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall Station. Of course, the name of the station tells you where we are going, but I will say that personally, this is one of the best places to see the Taipei 101 building clearly. Coming up from the station, you will find an elementary school, or something like that. The weather is very cool and comfortable.

Walking for about 50 meters, you will see the entrance. Admission is free.

Let's pay our respects to him.

This place boasts excellent air quality and beautiful flowers and greenery. The color scheme complements the environment perfectly.

Upon entering the central area of the memorial, the majestic Taipei 101 building stands out prominently. The view is quite clear, except for the extremely hazy weather today.

Another equally impressive angle.

This building houses an impressive replica of Sun Yat-sen's statue. Every hour, there is a changing of the guard ceremony that attracts many visitors.

The video of the soldiers changing shifts is at the bottom of this page. Check it out!

After visiting the Dr. Sun-Yat-Sen Memorial Hall, I took you to the C.K.S. Memorial Hall by subway. As the name suggests, this is the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall.

Exit 5, please. Actually, I've been walking around and there are several entrances here.

This is another entrance, which is a building connected to the inner courtyard.

Upon entering the main courtyard, I couldn't help but wonder what this group of tourists was doing. (To be honest, others may know, but I really couldn't think of it. Haha)

The photographer's perspective aligns with that of the onlookers, eliciting a collective "Aha!" moment. The rain from the previous night had left puddles that reflected the morning light, creating a stunning visual. The photographer couldn't help but feel fortunate to have captured this scene, reflecting on a previous experience of being caught in the rain while searching for food at the market.

This appears to be the main entrance. It took a while to get a picture without people in it.

The flower field is beautiful.

Let's go to the Grand Building with the statue of Chiang Kai-shek.

However, upon closer inspection, it was discovered that the renovation was underway, causing immense disappointment.

I can't remember what this is. I've been pickled for 4-5 months and I can't remember the information.

This is a section inside the building. In front, there is a library with many historical books about Taiwan.

And there's also a Movie Theater.

I'm about to head home, so I stopped to grab a bite of beef noodles that I think are the best I've had in Taipei. 555

You can search on Google to find the locations of Lao Dong restaurants. I can't remember them all, haha.

This is the price. The restaurant has a menu, but the one you have to tick is all in Chinese, no English. 555.
