Last weekend, the weather was hot, so I wanted to find a place to escape the heat that wasn't too far away. At first, I thought about going to the sea, but then my colleagues at work invited me to go to the dam, so I immediately agreed.
The Khek Noi Dam is located in Kanchong Subdistrict, Wat Bot District, Phitsanulok Province. At the end of the dam, there is a place to play in the water to cool off. There are bamboo huts, bamboo rafts, and restaurants. It is open to visitors from February 5 to May 31, 2018.

Both sides of the water play area are lined with over 1,000 bamboo huts for tourists to relax and enjoy the scenery.

The upper level offers a wide variety of restaurants to choose from.

The food will be sticky rice, grilled chicken, papaya salad, grilled fish, spicy salad, and much more. There are also drinks available.

The cost of renting a bamboo pavilion is 100 baht for the first hour, 50 baht for each subsequent hour, and 300 baht for the whole day. This is a very affordable price.

The majority of the rafts belong to local residents, providing an opportunity to support the community and direct income to the area. Food can be ordered and delivered directly to your raft.

We can choose where we want to sit, either by the riverbank or in the deeper, flowing water.

Props are available to help you take stylish photos.

During school breaks, parents often bring their children to play in the water, having a great time.

Inflatable rings are available for rent for 50 baht.

During peak hours, the location can become crowded. It is recommended to arrive before noon to avoid the crowds.

The upper section features strong currents and refreshingly cool water, ideal for swimming.

A tram service is available along the ridge of the dam, offering panoramic views of the surrounding area. If I recall correctly, the fare is 20 baht per person.

If you have only one day off during the school break and don't know where to go, try visiting the Kwai Noi Dam. It's a great place to cool off and have fun with friends or family. Kids will love it!
