Greetings! Today, Mr. Pin To will take everyone to learn about the elephant lifting ceremony (not the fortune cookie, mind you) at Wat Luang Pho Phat, or "Wat Phatthanaram," an ancient temple located in the heart of Surat Thani city.

The journey to Wat Luang Pho Phat is effortless, as the temple is conveniently located in the heart of the city. Visitors can easily **walk** from the agricultural market to the temple, covering a distance of only 450 meters in approximately 5-6 minutes.

Upon arriving at the temple, the first thing we did was to pay our respects to the Buddha.

The Art of "Lifting the Elephant" for Divination

The ritual of lifting the elephant for divination is a way of praying for success. The method is as follows: First, kneel close to the elephant and face the elephant's preferred side. Focus your mind and remember the Triple Gem: the Buddha, the Dharma, and the Sangha.

Men lift with their little fingers, while women lift with their ring fingers.

First attempt (the matter of the wish): If successful, may this elephant be lifted.

Second attempt (repeating the question to confirm) If successful, may I not be able to lift this elephant.

If this is the case, it indicates that the desired outcome has been achieved.

Intrigued by this, we decided to give it a try.

Through the collective prayers of **three individuals**, only **one** successfully lifted the auspicious elephant, fulfilling the conditions. This was a truly remarkable sight.
