This trip was inspired by a desire to take a long train journey. As a frequent train traveler, I was not overly concerned about this trip. I looked up the train schedule on the Thai Railway website (http://www.railway.co.th/checktime/checktime.asp). Initially, I had no specific destination in mind, but I wanted to go to the beach. I only considered places where the train would arrive early in the morning, allowing for a day trip (without an overnight stay). I decided on Chumphon, departing from Bangkok (Hualamphong) station and arriving in Chumphon.
The train I took was express train number 173, 2nd class with reclining seats. It departed from Bangkok at 5:35 PM and arrived in Chumphon at 2:48 AM. The fare was 300 baht.
The train was only about 10 minutes late, which is considered good timing. When I arrived in Chumphon, I was able to take a shower at the train station bathroom for 10 baht.
After showering and getting dressed, I took a motorbike taxi to the market to find something to eat. I then walked around the market, waiting for the motorbike rental shop to open (around 8:00 AM).
I saw a motorcycle rental shop with a yellow color, but I can't remember the name. It's similar to the airport shuttle bus stop. There is also a shop in the market near the gold shop. I feel that the rental shops are reluctant to rent to Thai people. I paid a deposit of 2,000 baht + ID card + 200 baht/day rental fee. If you are a foreigner, you only need to pay a deposit with your passport. I feel a little disappointed, but it's okay... Because I have rented motorcycles in both Chiang Mai and Krabi before, and it was not difficult at all.
The first place we drove to was Tung Wua Laen Beach. When we arrived, it was almost 9:00 AM. The sun was quite strong, but the sea here was beautiful. The water was clear, and there weren't many people around. It felt very peaceful. If possible, I would like to stay here overnight on my next trip.
It takes about an hour here, then say goodbye to this place and go to Khao Dinso to enjoy the view.
The scenic viewpoint at Khao Dinso requires careful driving due to steep sections of the road.
The next stop was Khao Maturi Viewpoint. Personally, I really like this place. The air is fresh, the wind is cool and comfortable, and the view is beautiful. There are also restaurants and cafes. I spent about 3 hours here.
Standing on this hilltop, one can see the mouth of the Chumphon River.

It looks like a flood, but it's not. Haha.
You can also set up a camera to film yourself.
This place is so comfortable that I don't want to leave. I can relax, take photos, and enjoy myself without getting bored.
After leaving Khao Matree, I headed to my final destination, Haad Bharad. While not the most stunning beach, Haad Bharad offers a tranquil atmosphere and minimal crowds, making it an ideal spot for privacy. Conveniently located near Khao Matree, the beach is just a short drive down the hill.
Originally, I planned to visit Hat Sai Ri and Khao Chamao, but due to fatigue and the hot weather, I decided to drive to Chumphon town and take a walk in the
Big C Chumphon: After returning the car, I had dinner, bought souvenirs, and took a shower at the train station. I waited for the train that arrived at 20:31 and reached Bangkok at 05:35. It was a fast train, number 168. This concludes my trip. I admit that I was tired, but I had a lot of fun. If I have the chance, I will visit Chumphon again.
