Greetings! Today, I'd like to introduce a budget-friendly day trip to Bangsaen Beach. The unique aspect of this journey is that we'll be traveling by train (free of charge). Let's embark on this adventure and see where it takes us.
I took the bus and got off at Victory Monument. I arrived at 06:10.
Take the BTS Skytrain to Phaya Thai. If you're not in a hurry, you can walk a short distance. ;)
Board the train at Phaya Thai Railway Station (regular train, not the BTS skytrain).
The train was scheduled to arrive at 07:07, but it actually arrived at 07:25, which was 18 minutes late.
Leaving the urban area, one encounters a serene atmosphere with a light drizzle and pleasantly cool air.
09.00 Arrive at Chachoengsao Railway Station.
Shortly after leaving Chachoengsao, the train climbed onto a bridge over the Bang Pakong River.
The train arrives at Chonburi Railway Station at 09:46, but do not get off here. It is most convenient to get off at Khao Phra Bat Station to take a bus to Bang Saen Beach.
We have arrived at Khao Phra Bat Station. Surprisingly, the train arrived 4 minutes ahead of schedule.
Walk a little further and you will reach the main road. Then, we need to cross the road to the other side to catch the orange songthaew to Nong Mon Market.
Our car has arrived. Wave, wave, and wave again.
Continue riding until you reach Nong Mon Market. Then, transfer to a red songthaew and get off at Bang Saen Beach (almost there!).
We have finally arrived at Bangsaen Beach.
There are many beach beds.
Seafood stir-fried with holy basil for lunch
A refreshing glass of iced water.
Restaurants can be found all along the way.
The water is a beautiful color.
"Fun, happiness" Seeing this picture reminds me of the first time I went to the beach with my parents. It felt warm and fuzzy in a way I can't describe.
Inner tubes are available for rent along the beach.
The sun is very hot during the day.
We spent more than 3 hours here basking in the hot sun and breeze before returning to cool off with a refreshing coconut ice cream. The taste was incredibly smooth, sweet, and truly satisfying.
"We arrived back in Bangsaen. On the way back, we took the same red songthaew. We got on the opposite side from where we came from and told the driver to take us to the van stop for Victory Monument. We took the van back because we didn't think we would make it in time for the train. It was also a nice evening. The songthaew dropped us off right at our destination for only 10 baht."
The van departed at 2:40 PM and arrived at Victory Monument at 4:42 PM, completing the trip to Bangsaen in just 2 hours and 2 minutes.
***Additional***
- Shared taxis with a waiting time of no more than 5 minutes. There are many taxis running, so you don't have to worry about having difficulty traveling. Relax.
- Canvas bed for rent 30 baht, sit all day
