The Yard Hostel: A Chic Accommodation in the Heart of Ari

Hello, welcome back to Stop me after a long hiatus!! During that time, my laptop broke down, but now I have a new one, yay!!! So... I'm back this time with a recommended accommodation near BTS Ari, which is The Yard Hostel!!!! I must say that I stay at hostels very often because I get bored easily and want a new atmosphere to work in, so I go to different hostels in Bangkok. I came across The Yard and I liked it so much that I came back to stay again.

This is a picture of the surrounding atmosphere. As you can see, this place is very shady. I never thought there would be so much nature in the middle of the capital. It's like being in another world.

Bedroom Types at the Accommodation

This accommodation offers a variety of bedroom types. We opted for two different options during our stay. On the first night, we slept in a private room with a shared bathroom. This room had a double bed, suitable for two people. For the second night, we stayed in a shared female dormitory with four beds. The atmosphere in the shared room was quite different from the private one. Interestingly, the accommodation uses unique names for its rooms, such as "Auntie," "Uncle," and "Grandma."

This image depicts a private room with a comfortable bed, a clothes rack, and a view of an open space. Guests can relax in front of the room. The price in the deal starts at around 1,000 baht. I personally like this room because it feels private.

This room is a 4-bed female dorm. They provide ropes to tie your bed. I chose the second bed because it was easier to store my belongings in the locker and I didn't have to climb up and down. The woman who shared the room with me on the day I stayed was from Nepal. We talked a little bit and she seemed friendly. The advantage of a dorm room is that you can meet new people. If you are lonely, a dorm room is the perfect solution. If you are coming as a couple but want a dorm room, you can also choose a mixed dorm room.

The key card for the bedroom here has the hotel name and Wi-Fi password on the front. The back has a map, so you can find your way back if you go out. And don't worry about someone stealing your belongings if they don't return the key card. The key card can only be used on the day of check-out. After the check-out time, the key card will no longer work.

At the front desk, guests will be greeted with a chic atmosphere. Upon check-in, guests will need to fill out information and settle their accommodation fees. Subsequently, they will receive their key cards. In the meantime, if the check-in time has not yet arrived, the hotel provides a luggage storage area for guests' convenience. Additionally, a corner features a map of the country, and for those seeking further travel inspiration, the hotel offers curated trip information.

This is our favorite spot. During the day, you can relax and work here, but it can get a bit hot. At night, it transforms into a bar where you can enjoy a beer, chat with friends, or even work. In the evenings, you'll find many foreign guests hanging out here, creating a fun and lively atmosphere.

This room is perfect for hanging out with friends, enjoying the cool air conditioning, or even having a meal. You can also play games or watch movies here. Additionally, if you look out from this room, you can see a view of the garden. How relaxing is that?

To top it off, you can enjoy a delicious breakfast right at the bar. The breakfast here consists of yogurt, fruit, and cereal, served with toast and jam. Coffee and tea are also available. If you don't like cereal or yogurt, you can order something else to eat as well.
