Marine Beach Hotel Pattaya
After an exhausting day of playing non-stop on the slides at Ramayana Water Park, the four grandchildren of my aunt decided to take a nap in the room we had checked into at the hotel we had booked, the Marine Beach Hotel Pattaya, located near Jomtien Beach.
Hotel Restaurant Entrance, Beachfront
The reason I chose to book here was because a friend recommended it. The price was reasonable, and it was located near Jomtien Beach, which is not crowded. The kids could play in the sea continuously. However, the weather was not very cooperative. The sky kept changing between dark and bright with rain clouds, and it drizzled all the way.
Contemporary Chinese decor is seen throughout the hotel.
The children had already eaten rice and snacks on the way, so there was no need to worry about them. Moreover, there were 7-Eleven and Family Mart nearby, where they could easily buy things without having to cross the road. The rain also made them lazy to leave the hotel. Besides, the hotel had a nice atmosphere, decorated in a contemporary Chinese style, especially in the lobby and dining room.
The guardian lion, placed in front of the building according to Feng Shui principles, is a table like those seen in old-fashioned coffee shops.
Not at all, let's eat here at the hotel. The menu looks quite diverse, especially the fusion dishes, which I personally enjoy. Let's choose a table.
A large wooden table is placed in the center of the restaurant.
The cashier, Burger King, and coffee shop are all in a row.
Interior atmosphere
We opted for the large table in the center, anticipating that the children might join us for dinner later. The attentive waitstaff was eager to assist us with our order.
Breakfast corner with ABF available
In a small, private room, two tables were set up, with the air conditioner keeping the room comfortably cool.
The outer balcony is a sitting balcony in the style of the Chinese literati of the past.
Bread with butter.
The first course served was an appetizer in the Western style, consisting of various breads and butters. The butter served was fresh and unsalted, not margarine or artificial butter, so it had a rich, creamy flavor when eaten with the variety of breads served in different shapes and sizes.
Baked Chicken Salad
Following the bread and butter, the next course according to the formula is "salad," specifically a grilled chicken salad served first. The dish features perfectly cooked chicken breast seasoned with spices, neither too soft nor too firm, placed atop fresh salad greens. A light, tangy-sweet dressing drizzled over the salad complements the grilled chicken, offering a refreshing contrast and a welcome burst of flavor.
Baked Mussels with Cheese
The second dish was a generous portion of New Zealand mussels, baked with cheese and adorned with roasted vegetables, including queen tomatoes and large bell peppers, generously filled with fragrant, creamy cheese. This dish was a personal favorite, with the full-bodied cheese flavor not overpowering the taste of the mussels, which were equally satisfying in their size. Even after finishing the mussels, we continued to enjoy scooping out the cheese from inside the peppers.
Shrimp Alabiata Spa
This dish is uniquely delicious. It features penne pasta tossed in a spicy tomato sauce with a blend of spices. The spiciness is subtle, allowing the rich tomato flavor to shine through. The sauce perfectly complements the sautéed shrimp, highlighting its aroma and taste. The dish is finished with a sprinkle of grated cheese and cherry tomatoes, adorned with fresh basil leaves for a vibrant touch.
Beef Burger
Okay, here is the translation of the provided text:
Auntie's menu, the same as usual: beef burger. But the special thing about the beef burger here is that it comes with fried shallots and pickled mangoes. In terms of presentation, it's stylish and visually appealing. In terms of taste, the fried shallots add a touch of sweetness to the burger, making it more balanced.
The ground beef used in the burger was tender and juicy, not dry, and complemented the fresh vegetables and soft bread. The melted cheese added a salty and creamy flavor that paired well with the accompanying french fries. These fries resembled A&W's Curly Fries but were crispier and had a salty, savory flavor that made them very enjoyable to chew.
The challenge with beef burgers is that they can be difficult to eat due to their large size, making them awkward to hold and bite into.
Sea Bass Steak
The Dish of the Day: Pan-Seared Sea Bass Steak
This dish was the clear standout of the day. Two thick slices of incredibly fresh sea bass were expertly pan-seared, resulting in a beautifully crisp exterior and a tender, juicy interior. The accompanying sauce offered a delightful balance of tangy and creamy notes, perfectly cutting through any potential richness. The dish was further complemented by chunky fries, a medley of buttered vegetables, and notably, baby carrots that were truly baby-sized, not simply small carrots with their cores removed. While the portion size was generous, leaving us comfortably full, we couldn't help but consider ordering another round of this exceptional dish.
The children were energized and came down to see their grandmother, aunt, and uncle drinking smoothies. They wanted some too, so they each got a glass. Then, the ice cream gang asked to go buy snacks at 7-Eleven to eat in their room.
Mixed fruit juice (top left), coconut water (top right), orange juice (bottom left), and pineapple juice (bottom right)
Mango juice (top left), apple juice (top right), kiwi juice (bottom left), and watermelon juice (bottom right).
After a satisfying meal, we retreated to our room for a comfortable rest. The room's beauty and comfort were truly exceptional, but I will reserve a detailed review for the next entry. Thank you for watching.
