As mentioned in the previous entry, we took our family on a vacation during the school break with a friend's family, consisting of a mother and children, totaling 8 people. We visited Ramayana Water Park in Pattaya. Therefore, we decided to stay in Pattaya for another night. However, staying at our friend's house would be chaotic with 6 members, which is quite a large number.

Marine Beach Hotel Pattaya

Following the advice of a local, we opted for Jomtien Beach over the more crowded Pattaya Beach, drawn by its tranquility and abundance of quality hotels. Seeking the most economical option, we compared prices through phone calls and various websites. Ultimately, we secured two different room types at a satisfactory price, booking two rooms in total.

As dusk settled over Marine Beach, a gentle drizzle began to fall, creating a cozy atmosphere that invited slumber. The children, satiated from their continuous snacking throughout the journey, were ready for bed. However, Aunt Aw and Grandma had yet to eat. Therefore, a peaceful agreement was reached, dividing the group into the "Ice Cream Gang" and the "Housekeeping Gang."

The hotel's library provides books for guests to borrow and read.

Reception: Check in here.

The ice cream gang came well-prepared, changing into their swimsuits as soon as they entered their room and heading straight for the pool. Meanwhile, the housekeeping gang dropped off their belongings and went in search of food. However, the rain forced them to eat at the hotel's restaurant instead. After their meal, they returned to their room.

Lobby area

We have booked two rooms at Marine Beach. One room will be for the children and their aunt, while the other room will be for the grandmother and aunt. The room for the children and their aunt will need to be larger, so we have booked one double room and one superior room.

Hallway between rooms

Our rooms were directly opposite each other on the 4th floor, conveniently located right next to the elevator. The one-bedroom double room was divided into three sections: a small kitchen, a living room, and a bedroom.

Our first room is a Double Room.

The next section is the living room, which is separated from the entrance by a wooden floor.

The kitchen is equipped with a small microwave for reheating food. There is a small dining table decorated in a modern Chinese style, adorned with beautiful line drawings on the wall and various objects such as antique plates and bowls.

The living room features a large sofa that can be used as a daybed, two smaller sofas, a large flat-screen TV, and a full range of amenities. A particular highlight is the vase of foliage and the incense burner placed in the center of the living room coffee table.

Further inside, you will find the bedrooms and bathrooms.

The next section is the bathroom and bedroom. The bathroom is a large space, with a wet and dry area separated by a partition. There is a bathtub large enough for one person to lie down in, and a large sink with all the necessary toiletries.

The bathroom features a single-person tube, a large sink, a separate toilet room, and a shower room.

Bathroom Items

The bathroom amenities, including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and body lotion, are all organic products (or so they claim). However, we smelled and tried them, and they have a very fragrant mint scent. We ended up taking several showers, haha.

Wardrobe and desk

The living room and bedroom are separated by a wardrobe and a desk, creating a distinct space. The wardrobe is fully equipped with amenities such as large umbrellas, beach towels, beach bags, hairdryers, safes, and more. Similarly, the desk area provides...

Single bed bedroom, soft and comfortable, with a stool at the end of the bed.

The bedroom's decor is particularly appealing. While white is the primary color, it avoids appearing outdated, thanks to the beautiful Chinese-style furniture with its emphasis on wood tones. The line-drawing wall art reveals the owner's distinct artistic taste. The various wooden tables holding decorative items, along with the small electric candles placed by the bedside for a touch of romance, add to the room's charm.

Let's take a look at another room of ours, located opposite this one. This is a Superior Room.

After looking at the double rooms, let's take a look at the superior rooms. Our superior rooms are located in the same area as the double rooms.

The corridor between the rooms is adorned with linear drawings.

The Superior room is a single room with no separate rooms, similar to the Double room.

The Superior Room is a single room. As soon as you open the door, you will be greeted by a lone sink. It is strange, but it is also stylish. It is located in front of the bathroom, which has a separate shower and toilet area. However, the reason why the sink is not separated is because it makes the room look bigger.

The Superior Room is a long and narrow room with amenities similar to the Double Room, but smaller and without a kitchen or living room.

A double bed room for adults to sleep separately to avoid conflict.

Room Amenities

The interior maintains a chic, modern Chinese aesthetic. A notable feature is the stylish storage cabinets for coffee cups and teapots, which are both aesthetically pleasing and functional.

In addition to the stylish rooms we've shown you, the hotel's decor is also noteworthy. Each floor and hallway is adorned with unique and interesting features, particularly appealing to those who appreciate vintage artwork and line drawings. The lobby is especially captivating, with so much to see that you might not even want to go to your room. Fortunately, the hotel does not allow guests to sleep in the lobby.

Let's go outside and see the pool.

Let's take a look at the swimming pool that children love so much. The pool is divided into two sections, just like other pools: a children's pool and an adult pool with a deeper depth. There are fountains around the pool, which children love, and there are plenty of water toys available, such as rubber rings and inflatable rafts. They have so much fun that they don't want to get out. Oh, and adults should also sit in the children's pool because it has water jets that create bubbles, similar to a jacuzzi. However, I didn't go in myself, so I don't know if it's exactly the same.

The lower garden area is for relaxation.

Besides the swimming pool, there is also a small garden corner where you can relax and unwind. If you are interested in souvenirs, there is a souvenir shop in the hotel that sells a variety of stylish items. I was so busy with the kids that I forgot to check it out. I'll have to go back another time.

Jomtien Beach: Oceanfront Views, Unobserved

The text describes Jomtien Beach as being located in front of a hotel, but the speaker did not actually go outside to see it.

Just across the street from the hotel is Jomtien Beach. This area is usually less crowded, and even more so today due to the rain that has been falling most of the day. The atmosphere is a bit dim, so children are not allowed to swim in the sea. Playing in the pool will have to suffice.
