****
Koh Phayam is a beautiful and peaceful island that has retained its natural abundance. The island is relatively untouched by tourism, offering a tranquil escape.
The majority of tourists in Thailand, approximately 90%, are international visitors.
Traveling to the Island
There are two types of boats to the island:
1. Ordinary mail boat takes about 2 hours, 200 baht per person. Who is a chill person? Let's go, it's easy and affordable.
2. **Speed Boat** takes approximately 30-40 minutes, 350 Baht per person.
Upon arrival at the pier on Koh Phayam, you can easily rent a vehicle from one of the numerous rental shops available. Prices range from 200 to 250 baht per day.
There are a variety of accommodations on the island, starting from 300 baht. You can choose according to your preference. We stayed at Payam Sport Bungalow in Ao Yai because Ao Yai is the most beautiful sunset spot on the island and the accommodation is not far from the beach.
The island's signature fruit is the 'ga-yu', also known as the Indian mango. Upon arrival, visitors will be greeted by groves of ga-yu trees, which are ubiquitous throughout the island.
Note: Koh Phayam does not have electricity and running water. Electricity is available at specific times. During our visit, the power outage was from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM and 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM.
Each bay here boasts its own unique beauty, which varies depending on the time of day.

Ao Yai: For a breathtaking view of the deep blue sky and ocean, visit in the morning when the sun is behind you. Don't miss the stunning sunset here, it's truly magnificent.

Khao Kwai Bay is located on the same side as Ao Yai Bay. The mornings are beautiful, but slightly less so than Ao Yai Bay.

Ao Kwang Pi Pi: This is a diving spot. It is a small but very beautiful beach. The sand here is probably the most beautiful on the island.

Widow Bay is located right at the pier. The beach here has some garbage, so swimming is not recommended. Located on the east coast, it is a great place to watch the sunrise.
Let's dive into a visual feast!
Koh Phayam exudes a natural charm, offering tranquility and friendly locals. While amenities may be limited, the island's allure lies in its simplicity, providing a sense of peace and contentment to visitors.

Round-trip transportation cost from Bangkok to Ranong: 470 x 2 = 940
Speed boat fare: 700
Room rate: 1000
The rental fee for a motorcycle is 500 baht per 2 days, which is 250 baht per day.
The remaining amount is for food, which depends on how everyone allocates it. Food on the island is quite expensive, but it's understandable considering it's an island and the high season only lasts 3-4 months. It's a way for locals and residents to generate income.
