Kram Cafe is a charming café located on Sritapee Road, opposite Wat Klang Kao Temple. Despite being in the heart of the city, it offers a surprisingly peaceful atmosphere. Situated along the Tapee River, this café allows you to experience the local way of life. I had the chance to visit during a weekend afternoon, and the café’s serene environment made me feel relaxed and calm, even though it's located in the city center.
As you step inside, you'll find that the café spans three floors, each with its own unique charm and character. The ground floor is air-conditioned, perfect for those who want to relax in a cool, comfortable environment. If you prefer a more natural setting and want to feel the river breeze, you can choose to sit in the outdoor area, beautifully arranged with a serene view of the Tapee River flowing gently by.
Moving up to the second floor, this is where you order coffee and other beverages. There are also seating areas where you can enjoy your coffee while taking in the atmosphere. The top floor is an open-air rooftop, with no air conditioning, but it offers an amazing evening ambiance. From here, you can watch the stunning sunset reflecting off the river—a truly unforgettable sight.
Additionally, Kram Cafe offers numerous photo spots where you can capture lasting memories. Recommended spots include the peaceful view of the street in front of Wat Klang Kao Temple, the beautiful Tapee River view at any time of day, and during the evening, the sunset will be the most magnificent backdrop.
Kram Cafe maintains a tranquil atmosphere, offering visitors a chance to connect with the simple lifestyle of the local people. It differs from the closeness to nature found in rural areas, but instead provides a connection to the culture and daily life of city dwellers living by the river.
For those seeking a peaceful retreat in the middle of the city, Kram Cafe is an ideal choice. The atmosphere allows you to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life and immerse yourself in the simple yet meaningful life along the river.
