After reviewing many of our friends' reviews of the Grand Canyon (Chonburi), we were impressed by its beauty and resemblance to foreign landscapes. This sparked a desire to visit, and coincidentally, we had the opportunity to pass by the area. We couldn't resist the chance to stop and practice our photography skills.

This review is based solely on my personal experience, without any bias or exaggeration.

The Grand Canyon Chonburi, also known as Khao Chee Chan Grand Canyon, is located in Mueang District, Chonburi Province. Based on preliminary research, this site is not a naturally occurring tourist attraction. It was originally an abandoned quarry that, over time, filled with rainwater and became overgrown with vegetation. This combination of factors created a visually appealing landscape, which has recently gained popularity on social media.

We couldn't miss it, we had to see it with our own eyes.... When we arrived, the first thing that came to mind was "Why is it so hot?". If you're going to visit, I recommend bringing an umbrella and applying thick sunscreen, or your face will get sunspots. 555

Upon exiting the car, we encountered an elderly gentleman at the parking lot. He informed us that we could stay as long as we needed to take photos before leaving. There was no entrance fee, but we gave the gentleman 20 baht for parking as we needed to leave our car there while we walked around to take photos. We considered it a gesture of goodwill for him to watch over our car. Additionally, if anyone gets hungry, there is a small shop at the front selling food, drinks, coffee, and ice cream, so there's no need to worry about going hungry.

The photo spots are located around the old mine. There is a fence surrounding the area to prevent falls, and visitors can also walk to take photos on the rocky slopes. However, we opted not to do so due to the heat. Another photogenic spot is near the train tracks, which can provide some interesting shots. However, it's important to be cautious of trains. As before, we decided not to walk there due to the intense heat, so we only captured the atmosphere around the old mine.

To get here, set your GPS to "Grand Canyon Kiri". Drive until you cross the railway tracks, then turn onto the side road next to the tracks following the signs. You will find a parking lot, and the photo spot is just a short walk away.

Personally, I think this place is beautiful. It gives off a foreign vibe, which is amazing because no one would have thought that a deserted place left to its own devices could be so beautiful and become such a popular spot. People who are afraid of the heat or getting tanned should definitely avoid this place because it's scorching hot. People who are afraid of heights shouldn't stand too close to the edge to take pictures. But if you're not too worried about these things, it's definitely worth coming here to see and experience the atmosphere for yourself.

"Every place can be a tourist destination. It depends on our goal of what we are going there for."

See you again on the next trip. Goodbye.
