Part two is here! We've been traveling since the first part, follow the link here.

This time, let's take a look at the accommodation and food. We can't let our bodies get tired and our stomachs growl. It's against the I'm-on-it concept!
This time, we stayed in three different types of accommodation: hostels, regular hotels, and fancy hotels. As usual, there's plenty of food, with the addition of cholesterol. Let's see where we went.
Note: This time, I didn't just visit popular restaurants. I also explored some off-the-beaten-path places to try new things. ;)
Singapore Wanderlust
Coordinates: https://goo.gl/maps/qgGr3wqSYtT2
Starting price: 45xx
This hotel was amazing from the moment we saw the pictures. We knew we had to stay there, so we booked it through the hotel's website. They offer an Earlybird rate for bookings made at least 21 days in advance. You can book here: https://www.wanderlusthotel.com/. Each room at the hotel is decorated differently. The room we stayed in had several different color schemes, but the yellow room was the most expensive. When we booked, it cost $200, which is about 5,000 baht (ouch!). But it was such a cute room! We loved it. The room had everything we needed, including a mini bar with free snacks and drinks, a handy phone, a coffee maker, and a comfortable bed. The only downside was that we could hear noise from outside at night. If you're a light sleeper, this might be a problem. We could hear the slightest noise and wake up. However, the hotel must be aware of this issue because they provide earplugs. If you're not a light sleeper, this shouldn't be a problem. Our other admin stayed there and slept through the night without hearing anything.
Capsule Pod Boutique Hotel
Coordinates: https://goo.gl/maps/t9c3Hm1828r
Starting price around 6xx
We booked this hostel through Booking.com for a great price of less than 600 baht per person. The location is fantastic, just a short walk across the street from the Chainatown MRT station. This was my first time staying in a capsule hotel, and since I was traveling solo on the first day, I decided to give it a try. The capsules here come in two styles: shallow side entry and deep end entry. They are assigned based on the order of check-in, but since I was late, I got the deep end capsule on the second floor. Being under 160 cm tall, it was a bit of a challenge to get in and out, but it was also kind of fun. I stayed in the female dorm (mixed dorms are also available), which was comfortable and I met some new friends. There are computers and free drinks (including soda, milk, and water) available in the common area.
The bathroom was clean and secure, accessible only with a keycard. The capsule wasn't too cramped, allowing for comfortable movement. However, a drawback of shared rooms is that some guests wake up very early, before sunrise, which can be disruptive for others, especially those with later flights. Overall, it was a positive experience, and a great option for budget-conscious travelers.
The Summerview Hotel
Coordinates: https://goo.gl/maps/nLjo85B1VMQ2
Starting price: approximately 29xx
This hotel is located in the Bencoolen district, which we found to be a modern and artistic area. As mentioned, there are many universities and art schools in the vicinity, providing plenty of opportunities for stylish street photography. The hotel is within walking distance of the MRT station, although it is not particularly close. It is situated at the center of a four-way intersection, so crossing the street requires choosing which direction to backtrack. The rooms are small and simply decorated, but we found them to be stuffy and dusty, which triggered my allergies. Considering the price, we recommend exploring other hotel options.
Now, let's move on to the essential aspect of any trip: delicious food! Let's explore the must-try and must-avoid restaurants. Dive in!
Song Fa Pork Rib Soup
Location: Chinatown Branch https://goo.gl/maps/ZXZUVjR3y9m // Clarke Quay Branch https://goo.gl/maps/upxtz6kuSyP2
A renowned bak kut teh restaurant popular among Thais. The reputation did not disappoint, as the food was truly delicious. The fragrant broth was hot and peppery, but it went down smoothly. The broth can be refilled. The restaurant offers a variety of pork ribs, but the most expensive option is not necessarily the best. The regular ribs are tender and delicious, making them easy to eat. Other dishes on the menu were also tasty, but not as memorable as the bak kut teh. The meal cost approximately 11 USD.
Mei Heong Yuen Dessert
Coordinates: https://goo.gl/maps/sEcxhWEvm4s
A popular dessert shop in Chinatown that is often recommended in reviews, but I didn't like it. The shop offers shaved ice in various flavors. I tried the green tea flavor, which was a bit bland and not very sweet or strong. It might appeal to people who don't like sweet things. The red beans were not the sweet, mashed red beans we have at home; they seemed more like boiled red beans. Overall, I didn't enjoy it. The dessert cost $5.50.
Nation-state
Coordinates: https://goo.gl/maps/7BLy9Y6tRas
A small cafe on Haji Lane. Although the shop is not very big, it is decorated very cutely. Most importantly, the food tastes very good. It is Japanese-style fusion food (sounds good, right?). And if you go there, don't forget to order the peanut butter soft serve. It's so good! I'm so happy, I'm so happy! It's not too sweet, it's fragrant with peanut butter, and it's eaten with the cereal on the side. Just talking about it makes me want to go back for more right now. Don't miss it! All of this cost 41 dollars.
House of Dim Sum

Note: The original text is empty, so the translation is also empty.
Exiting the Jalan Besar MRT station, you'll find this eatery a short walk away, conveniently located on the way to the Wanderlust Hotel. Unsure of its popularity, I hadn't checked any reviews beforehand. I simply felt a craving as I passed by, deciding to return after my sightseeing. Upon my return, I was greeted by a long queue, confirming its popularity. Don't miss the Baked BBQ Pork Pastry, it's truly delicious! I can confidently recommend it. This meal cost me 33.45 dollars.

Ng Ah Sio Pork Ribs Soup Eating House
Coordinates: https://goo.gl/maps/eYq2HCsMEJu
Another famous Bak Kut Teh restaurant, which can be pronounced as "Eng Ah Soey" in Thai, might be a bit far for those staying near Chinatown. This branch is the first one, but now there are several branches. To get there, walk about 600 meters from Farrer Park MRT station. We went there early in the morning and noticed that there were quite a lot of people. As for the Bak Kut Teh, the most noticeable difference from the other restaurant is the color of the soup. This one has a darker color, but it is less spicy with pepper. Overall, they are equally delicious, but we would give Songfa a slight edge because the flavor seems to penetrate the meat better. This meal cost us 22.30 SGD.
Habin Beer
Coordinates: https://goo.gl/maps/sonm2Fy15dx
The restaurant offers a wide variety of Chinese dishes, but we opted for the spicy barbecue. The flavor was reminiscent of mala, but without the intense numbing sensation. The meat was incredibly tender and flavorful, thanks to the meticulous marinating process. Prices vary depending on the type of meat ordered, with pork and chicken costing around $2.50-$3, while seafood options are priced at around $5.
Ice cream sandwich
Location: Commonly found in public parks.
If you come across an ice cream cart on the side of the road, don't just buy a Wall's ice cream. Instead, try the ice cream sandwiches. Here, they cut the ice cream into squares, and instead of a stick like we have at home, they use a crispy wafer. And it's good! You can get a delicious ice cream sandwich for just $1. There are also many flavors to choose from.
Non-Entrée Dessert Café
Coordinates: https://goo.gl/maps/wcWxcfYw9mL2
We found this cafe on #cafehoppingsingapore and were drawn to its cute yellow exterior. It's located near Eng Aun Tong, just one shophouse away. The cafe itself is indeed adorable, but the desserts were unfortunately disappointing. The affogato, in particular, left us wondering if it had been tasted before being served. The green tea lava was slightly better, but overall, considering the price and portion size, we'd recommend trying another cafe. (Total damage: 22.90 SGD)
Enchanted Cafe
Coordinates: https://goo.gl/maps/Fz5kkK4Ccnn
From Non Entrée, walk back towards the subway. You will soon find this cute café with many lovely corners. The taste of the drinks is considered okay, so it passes. I don't remember the cost anymore, but I know the shop is cute and good for taking pictures.
Montana Cafe
Coordinates: https://goo.gl/maps/EZeGavoknJ12
This restaurant is located on the 2nd floor of a building called Pomo in the Bencoolen district, near the SOTA School of the Arts. The restaurant is decorated in a cute style and actually has two floors. The entrance is on the first floor, but strangely, there is no sign for the restaurant, so it can be difficult to find. Therefore, if you are going to the restaurant, it is easier to enter the shopping mall and walk to the second floor.
This cafe offers both savory and sweet dishes, with a standout feature being their cold brew coffee menu, available in a variety of flavors. During my visit, I tried the coconut cold brew, which was incredibly fragrant and not bitter at all, perfect for those who dislike strong coffee. My colleague, who ordered the same drink, was visibly delighted and satisfied. The waffles we ordered were also delicious and flavorful. Overall, this cafe is highly recommended. Don't miss out on it if you're in the area!
Coordinates: https://goo.gl/maps/TX9b66pUTLp
A minimalist-style cafe in the Tiong Baruh district. The shop is decorated in a cute style, with a focus on light and airy white tones. It's a great place to relax and enjoy a hot cocoa. The cafe also serves delicious pastries, and they offer a small discount if you pair your drink with a pastry.
Celestial Fish Head Steamboat
Coordinates: https://goo.gl/maps/G3Af6Kq7L712
This restaurant is not very popular with Thai people or tourists, and is mostly frequented by Singaporeans. However, it is always packed. This may be because it is located far from the popular tourist areas. But if you have the time, you should definitely come here! The food is amazing. The salted egg yolk pork stir-fry is especially delicious. The first bite will make you say "wow"! I'm not exaggerating or being paid to say this, it's just really good. Even though the photos don't do it justice. The tofu and shrimp stir-fry is also delicious, and the fried chicken is crispy and flavorful. I admit, I'm gushing, but it's really that good. The portions are also generous. We ordered enough for two people and couldn't finish it all. We almost had to crawl back to our hotel. In short, this restaurant is a must-try. You won't regret it.
To reach the restaurant, take the purple line of the MRT (avoid Tao Poon station, it won't get you there). Get off at Potong Pasir station and walk for about 500 meters. You will find the restaurant at the corner of the street.
IRVINS
Branch information: https://irvinsaltedegg.com/
The hottest souvenir from Singapore right now is this: crispy potato and fish skin with salted egg yolk flavor! I must say it's incredibly addictive. The fish skin, I'm not sure what kind of fish it is, is super crispy. My dad and our dog love it! The potato version is also good, but it can be a bit greasy. They also have a new spicy flavor that helps cut through the richness. There's also a reduced-fat version that has less oil, according to the salesperson, but we didn't try that one. We bought ours at Vivo. If you're already going to USS, you can stop by the mall on your way back.
The small bag costs 8 coins, while the large bag costs 16 coins. Although the price is high, the large bag is more worthwhile due to its larger weight. Buying at the airport is 1 coin cheaper, but it is only available at Terminal 2. Those who fly with AirAsia will miss out. Bringing it back will take up space in your luggage, but everyone who has received it says it is delicious and satisfying. :)
This concludes our recommendations for accommodations and restaurants for your upcoming Singapore trip. We hope this information proves valuable for those planning their travels. Don't forget to check out the first part of our series, linked above.
