Let's continue our journey to the small village nestled in the forest, "Mae Kampong".

After a satisfying lunch at the Royal Project at Doi Inthanon,

Driving back a short distance, we stopped to walk at Pha Nam Lod.

Inside, there is a small cafe with a seating area.

Those who don't want to sit and relax in this corner can walk to the area near the waterfall and sit by the water. The water is very cool and refreshing, helping to relieve the heat from the sun.

After passing through the waterfall, we stopped at a nearby coffee shop that is a popular destination for visitors.

The brightly lit "Sawan Ka Ta" cafe is a must-visit spot for many. Situated by a small waterfall, it offers a unique experience of sipping coffee while dangling your feet in the water. Don't forget to capture a photo at the iconic landmark before leaving.

Come here to take some quick photos. If you want to buy coffee and relax, it is recommended to come in early or late in the year. Otherwise, it will be quite hot.

After a refreshing drink, it's time to entertain your companions. Take them to a cat cafe for a delightful experience.

Ted du Coffee is a charming coffee shop. If you're driving, be prepared to search for parking, as the shop's entrance only accommodates 2-3 cars. Street parking is not available on the main road leading to Mae Kampong, as it is a two-lane road with oncoming traffic.

The adorable shop is adorned with numerous cat figurines.

The cafe boasts a relaxed atmosphere with a constant breeze of natural air. The surrounding trees provide much-needed shade. However, despite being advertised as a cat cafe, there were no cats in sight, only cat statues. It turns out that the cats only appear in the afternoon, and by then, they are usually in a state of relaxation.

Sleep, sleep, sleep. We put on our clothes to go out and play, but they just sleep and ignore us. Haha.

No playing, then I'll have some water, snacks, and wait. The price is reasonable, much better than staying up all night.

There is also a waterfall nearby, but it is not safe to swim in.

After relaxing for a while, it was time to head to our next destination. Since we had been traveling quite actively and were tired from the bus ride, we decided to skip the early morning trip to Kew Fin. However, going later in the day would be too hot, so we opted for an evening visit. Little did we know that the road would be so challenging. With our Swift car carrying the weight of all our passengers, the engine struggled to climb the steep incline. Nevertheless, we persevered and made it to the top. We drove a little further past Kew Fin and found a scenic viewpoint where we decided to rest the car. This spot marked the border of Lampang province.

Come on up!

After taking a break to enjoy the breeze and rest the car, the sun began to set. We decided to head back to Kiew Fin, where the Tiger Lily flowers were in bloom. This came after our disappointment at Khun Chang Kian, where the challenging terrain forced us to turn back. We were heartbroken!

Let's go up to Giw Fin together.

Hike up the mountain, panting a little because the weather is quite hot. But once you reach the top, the view is amazing. If you come in the morning when there is fog, it must be even more beautiful. But I couldn't wake up early enough, so I have to accept it. Besides, if I had driven up in the morning when the road was wet with dew, I probably wouldn't have made it. Coming now is safe.

The scorching sun may be a bit too much, but the beauty of this place has won me over.

Let's check in to our accommodation and then go for a refreshing dip in the waterfall.

Tonight, we're switching to stay at Baan Ing Doi, which costs 750 baht per person, including dinner and breakfast.

The Baan Ingkoy is a traditional Thai wooden house on stilts, featuring a spacious balcony perfect for enjoying meals with stunning views.

There is also a coffee shop.

After packing our bags, we changed our clothes and walked to the waterfall behind our accommodation. The water was flowing from the Mae Kampong waterfall itself. We weren't the only ones who went to play there.

After a refreshing swim, we returned to the accommodation to shower and enjoy a delicious meal prepared by the hosts. The atmosphere was incredibly relaxing.

The food was simple but delicious, including stir-fried cucumber, spicy northern Thai curry, clear soup, and minced pork salad.

After a satisfying meal, we relaxed on the balcony of our room. A glass of chilled beer would have been the perfect accompaniment. : ) .... It's morning now.

Upon waking, I devoured the strawberries I had purchased from the Royal Project at Doi Inthanon before having breakfast.

Breakfast includes simple toast, rice porridge, tea, and coffee.

From the balcony in front of the room, you can see the dining area.

After a refreshing morning, it was time to check out and continue our journey. Three days had flown by in the blink of an eye. Before leaving Mae Kampong, we made a quick stop to pay respects at the Mae Kampong Temple.

After paying respects to the principal Buddha image in the ordination hall, walk a little further and you will find a path leading down to the central waterside chapel. During high tide, be extra careful as the path can be slippery and there are many rocks.

The morning air was fresh and comfortable, with excellent lighting conditions, making it a perfect time for taking photographs.

Due to the limited parking availability, we parked our car at Wat Mae Kampong and continued our journey on foot into the Mae Kampong community. Walking proved to be the most practical solution.

This zone is lined with souvenir shops, cafes, restaurants, and homestays.

Strolling until we realized it was almost noon, we decided to have lunch right there at Mae Nim's Sai Oua restaurant.

Although everyone who came did not eat sai aua because it was spicy, they ordered fried pork, som tam, fried chicken wings, sticky rice, and tom saap instead.

As we ate, we could hear the sound of the stream flowing.

Before returning to the car, I continued to stroll around, looking at the various items of the local people. Everything seemed charming.

The fun is over. I walked back to get the car at Wat Mae Kampong and drove back to Chiang Mai city.

To the city to buy souvenirs, find food, and then worship at 3 more temples.

  • Wat Phra Singh Woramahawihan
  • Test your luck.

- Floating Temple of Kraeh

The sentence is already in English and does not require translation.

The trip concludes with a full stomach and a happy heart, ready to return to work (or is it?).

The most hilarious part was that before heading to the airport, I stopped by Menya Mall to drop off a friend who came home with me. I was carrying the doll, and everyone was staring because they probably knew I had just won it from the claw machine. 😂
