Laem Sing Beach is a popular tourist destination in Chanthaburi, featuring a line of pine trees along the beach, a walking path, and restaurants lining the coast. Additionally, it serves as a source of fresh seafood, a key selling point for local Chanthaburi cuisine. The high quality and affordability of the seafood make it a primary source of income for the community and local residents, showcasing the charming lifestyle of the fishing community and leaving a lasting impression on tourists.
The "Seafood Eat Local Meet Local @ Leamsing Chanthaburi" event was held on the shores of Laem Sing Beach during the holiday weekend of August 10-12, 2018. The event invited visitors to take a nostalgic trip to the beach with their mothers, enjoying a 200-meter stretch of sandy beach lined with pine trees.
Amidst the soothing sounds of waves lapping against the sandy shore and the gentle melodies of local music, visitors can indulge in a delectable array of fresh seafood prepared according to traditional recipes at beachfront restaurants. This immersive experience allows tourists to savor the authentic ambiance of the eastern coastal town while gaining insights into the community's way of life through the local food festival. This initiative serves to promote tourism in lesser-known destinations under the "Go Local / Eat Local" concept, fostering the distribution of tourism revenue among local communities.
