Rainy season trip to Nan 27/07/61 - 01/08/61

During this long holiday, my girlfriend and I agreed to find a place to travel to experience the atmosphere of green mountains and cool air. So we planned to travel to Nan. We arranged to find information, book tickets, book accommodation, and then went there.

We embarked on our journey via Nakhonnayok Air bus, conveniently boarding at Rangsit (closest to my location). Upon boarding, we were provided with complimentary snacks, water, and rice. The bus journey was non-stop, arriving at Nan Bus Terminal early in the morning. Before heading to the motorbike rental shop, we stopped for a quick breakfast of jok at a stall near the terminal.

After a hearty meal, we took a songthaew from the bus station to the morning market in Nan city. The motorbike rental shop was not far from there. We got off at the market and bought raincoats first, as the sky was getting cloudy. Then we walked to the rental shop, which had just opened. The star of our trip was the Wave 110i. ^^

The journey began in Nan city, where the first drops of rain started to fall as we set off on our motorbike. Our destination was Phulangka Resort, located approximately 120 kilometers away. Following the map, we rode until we reached Tha Wang Pha intersection, where we turned left towards Song Khwae district. The initial part of the route was relatively easy, but the road became steeper and more challenging as we approached Phulangka. The rain had stopped by then, leaving the air cool and refreshing. The surrounding mountains offered a breathtaking view of lush greenery. Finally, we arrived at our destination, Phulangka.

I arrived around noon, but it's been raining and foggy like this all the time. I booked a room at Baan Talay Moke Na Phu Langka, which is next to the Magic Mountain Café. The room I'm staying in costs 1200 baht with breakfast included.

At Baan Talay Mok, they offer a variety of cooked-to-order dishes and papaya salad. We ate here for all our meals (my girlfriend loved the papaya salad so much she had it every meal!).

Next to the accommodation is the Magic Mountain Café, which boasts an excellent view of the rocky mountains below. No need for further explanation, let the pictures speak for themselves.

After soaking in the atmosphere of Phu Langka, we continued our journey to Pua district. We rode back the same way until the Tha Wang Pha intersection, then headed towards Pua. The air in Pua was excellent, with overcast skies throughout the day, keeping the temperature cool. The roads were lined with rice paddies surrounded by mountains.

In Pua, we booked accommodation at Tanong Homestay. On the way to the accommodation, there were rice fields on both sides of the road, so I thought I had taken the wrong way. 55555 I finally arrived. Tanong's house is at the end of the village. It is a homestay in the middle of a rice field with mountains as the backdrop. It's amazing.

The room I stayed in at Tanong Homestay was a corner room on the ground floor with a balcony that offered views of both the front and side of the house. It cost 1300 baht and included a khantoke dinner and breakfast.

Enjoy a traditional Thai dining experience with a "khantoke" set, where you can sit on the floor and savor delicious dishes. Don't worry about going hungry, as refills are generously offered by the friendly staff.

Accommodation atmosphere at Baan Tanong (How to take photos that your girlfriend will love ^^; Hehe)

The air at Tanong Homestay this morning is so refreshing. Actually, today we had a plan to go to Bor Klue, Sajuuk, Sakaeng, and Piangsao, but there was a landslide that closed the road, so we changed our plan to stay in Pua for another night (my girlfriend loves it here). So today we will go to

Around Pua, we went to Doi Sakad. According to the maps, it wasn't far, but it was a continuous uphill climb with no breaks (a bit challenging). The view during the ascent was spectacular, but we didn't take many pictures because of the rain, steep roads, and fog. We had to be careful while riding. There was a homestay there, and we stopped by. The owner offered us drip coffee and ginger tea to warm us up.

We didn't stay long before heading down, fearing the rain would return and the fog would thicken, making it difficult to ride. If we have the chance, we'll definitely come back here again. We loved the atmosphere and the beautiful views. On the way down, we looked for a place to relax.

We ended up at the Baan Huana Mushroom Farm. The view here is incredible, and the cocoa is delicious. We rested for a while. From here, you can walk to Wang Sila Lang, but this time the water level was high, so we couldn't go.

In the evening, we stopped for dinner at Som Tum Yai Krok restaurant.

Before checking into our accommodation, we stopped by to buy some mala skewers to eat later in case we got hungry at night. The people here are very kind and friendly. I stopped by a local shop selling 5 baht Coke and 10 baht grilled chicken skewers. They even gave me a large bag of dragon fruit and longan, saying that they grew it themselves in front of their house and that the fruit wasn't very pretty and didn't have any pesticides, so I should take it and eat it.

Today, we will return to Nan. Along the way, we will stop by various places. We stopped to pay respects at Wat Phukhet. The view behind the temple is a beautiful view of the Tai Lue rice fields. It's a great way to relax before heading back.

Next, we stopped for a photo op at the Tai Lue coffee shop, Lam Duan weaving, and took some pictures.

After a long ride, enjoying the breeze and the scenery, we arrived at 29 Base. The view behind the shop is stunning. We intended to have coffee at the shop, but unfortunately, it was closed today. We'll just admire the view of the elevated road for now.

This time, we avoided the skywalk due to a landslide. We decided not to go this time, but we will definitely not miss it next time we come to Nan. From the shop, we went towards Santisuk and found The View@Kiew Muang coffee shop. We took a break, sipped some coffee, and enjoyed the beautiful view.

We are no longer tired, let's go to the accommodation to store our belongings first. I have booked accommodation at the Sreenuan Lod, which is a small and lovely place.

Let's go find a delicious restaurant to eat at. The first place we should go is Heuan Ying Jai, which serves delicious pork-stuffed sago and noodles.

Then we went to find Auntie Nim's dessert shop to cleanse our palates. Otherwise, it would be like we didn't come to Nan. I'm here, but the shop is closed.....!! Can't eat 5555

Disappointed with the food, let's go worship Buddha instead. At Wat Phra That Khao Noi, you can see a panoramic view of Nan city.

Next, we will pay respects to the important Phra That of Nan Province, Wat Phra That Chae Haeng. This temple is also the Phra That for people born in the year of the rabbit.

On the final day of our trip, we enjoyed breakfast at Leis Restaurant. Their signature dishes include dim sum and a hearty blood pudding soup.

After we were full, we went to Phumin Temple, an ancient temple in Nan Province. The highlight here is the mural painting of Pu Man and Ya Man whispering love to each other. Next to the temple, there is another place called the Trumpet Flower Arch in front of the Nan National Museum. You can walk in and take pictures.

After strolling for a while, we decided to find a café to relax and enjoy the air conditioning. We came across Workboxes café, a small establishment perfect for reading a book and sipping coffee. The prices were reasonable, and the atmosphere was peaceful.

After a long day, we stopped by a restaurant called "Rai Thiam Than" for some delicious noodles. The restaurant lives up to its name, as the noodles were truly second to none. The broth was rich and flavorful, and the noodles were perfectly cooked. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a satisfying meal.

The trip to Nan during the rainy season has come to an end. I have realized that the scenery along the way is just as beautiful as the destination itself. You have to experience it yourself to know. It's time to go back to work now. See you again on the next trip. You can ask questions and follow us by liking and sharing our page Mom doesn't let me go home. Thank you everyone for following and reading. ^^
